How You Can Help Make This a Successful Fundrasing Event

Announcing our Annual Golf Day In Support of

St. Anne Church Restoration

HOW YOU CAN HELP MAKE THIS A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRASING EVENT

Last year’s golf day raised $16,000. As a parishioner, here is how you can help make this year’s event equally successful:

  • By asking for a sponsorship from a company you have done business with.

For example, if you recently

bought or sold a house through a realtor, or

purchased a vehicle, or

placed funds with an investment firm, or

re-roofed your house, or

renovated your kitchen

Ask the company to be a sponsor. Talk to the owner or manager. Let them know that the tournament provides excellent advertising for them among participating golfers and our parishioners.

Sponsorships are available at the following levels:

Platinum$2,500

Gold$1,000

Silver $500

Bronze $300

  • By soliciting or donating products or services for the silent auction at the dinner.

Our silent auction can be successful only if attractive items are provided. Examples are certificates from prestigious restaurants, coupons toward a professional service such as legal costs of a property sale or estate planning, prime tickets for major entertainment events, pieces of art, and elaborate gift baskets.

  • By soliciting prizes from businesses where you shop, such as grocery chains, vehicle repair shops, sports stores and so on.

Each golfer receives a prize. The suggested value is around $25-30. Prizes do not have to be golf related. Suggestions are: a golf shirt, a box of golf balls, an umbrella, a coupon for a free oil change or other auto service, a gift certificate, and so on.

  • By playing golf and asking friends, neighbours, and relatives to join you.

This golf day is intended to be fun. Your score does not matter. Come out and enjoy yourself with Father Deprey and Father Breton. If you do not wish to play, join us for dinner.

The details of the event are as follows:

Date: Thursday, August 17, 2017

Tee-off time: 12:30 PM Shotgun Start

Location: TheMeadows Golf Club, 4335 Hawthorne Road, Ottawa

Cost: $115 per person (includes lunch, golf, cart, dinner, and prizes). Tax receipt about $30.

Dinner only:$55. Tax receipt about $20.

Before you approach a business for support, speak to a committee member for guidance. We can provide an introductory letter about the tournament, a registration form, a sponsorship letter, an outline of sponsorship packages, and a letter of solicitation regarding prizes.
