  • Educational Goal = Perform lab exercise to determine the Temperature Coefficient of Resistance for Copper, and to experience the operation of a Laboratory Facility in a university School of Engineering.
  • Students are Encouraged to Explore the facility and ask questions of students, staff, and faculty therein.

  • Latest Depart-Chabot time = 4:15pm
  • I will happy to contact any of your pre-4:15pm instructors to request that you be allowed to leave early to depart for the field trip

Travel Arrangements

Students are responsible for making their OWN travel arrangements. At the conclusion of the tour:

  • All ENGR45 Students are free to go his or her own way. Students do NOT need to return to campus.

Students will need to purchase an $8 parking permit (see below)

Students are Encouraged to Car Pool if possible

For Students who cannot arrange for a car pool ride, I can transport 3 students to SJSU – This Year I am NOT able to make the return-trip due to other commitments

  • We will depart at 4pm,sharp, so please be on time.

We will park in the South(7th Street) Garage and then walk to the Engineering Building

Students and their Car-Pool Mates will need to purchase a Single day parking permits from the automated pay stations located in the South (7th Street) Garage:

  • The Single day permit is $8.00
  • The automated pay stations accept coins, $1, $5, $10 bills and Visa/MasterCard credit cards.

  • If you arrive before I do, please politely introduce yourself to the lab instructor if he or she is present.

The Way I Go:

  • Hwy880/17-South to Mission Blvd in Fremont
  • Mission Blvd to Hwy680-South
  • Hwy680-South Becomes Hwy280-North in South San Jose
  • Take the Hwy280-N to 11th Street Off-Ramp
  • Turn Right on 11th St.
  • Turn Left on East William Street
  • Turn Right on 7th Street
  • 7th Street ENDS at the parking garage
