System Requirements:

·  Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows XP SP2

BEFORE Installation:

1.  Make sure to update necessary Service Packs for Windows:

1.  If you are using Windows XP, make sure that you have SERVICE PACK 2 installed on your computer --you can also download it directly from the Microsoft website:

2.  If you are using Windows 2000, make sure that you have SERVICE PACK 4 installed on your computer --you can also download it directly from the Microsoft website:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp4/default.mspx

2.  Install Direct X (can also be found on the installation CD):

3.  Be sure to unplug (disconnect) ALL other USB devices attached to your computer to avoid conflict while installing your USB TV Tuner. (They can be reconnected after installation is complete)

INSTALL the USB 2.0 TV Tuner (Please refer to the user manual):

1.  Connect the USB TV tuner

2.  When the pop-up NEW HARDWARE FOUND dialog box appears, click CANCEL.

3.  **Do not let Windows automatically install drivers.

4.  Insert CD. Program should begin, if not select AUTORUN from the CD.

5.  “Install Driver”

6.  “Install Remote”

7.  “Install Application”

8.  Run the WinDVR program -- make sure that you install your Cable TV or Antenna in order to get picture

9.  Perform an Auto Channel Scan, and wait until all channels get scanned.

Troubleshooting FAQ:

1.  Update the VGA Adapter / Video Card Drivers with the most recent drivers provided by the MANUFACTURER. Be sure to use the latest available drivers, to allow FULL Video/TV tuner functionality.

***Do NOT use the default Window's drivers—do not let Windows automatically detect and install the drivers; at times, this can create conflicts with other devices.

2.  If you are still experiencing errors:

A.  Unplug the USB TV Tuner from your computer.

B.  Go to: Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs à REMOVE any and all Video or Audio programs, including WinDVR software

C.  These programs may conflict with the installation of your TV Tuner (you can reinstall these programs later)

D.  Go to System Properties> Hardware >Device Manager à REMOVE all items that have an exclamation mark (!) or question mark (?). (right-click on these items and select REMOVE)

E.  Reboot your computer

4.  At this point if you are still having trouble installing your USB TV tuner try to install it on different computer in order to isolate the issue.
