Policies and Procedures

Photo ID badges will be issued this year. There is no charge for your first badge, but there is a $10.00 replacement fee. The ID must be presented at the front gate upon entering the pool area. Badges are NON-TRANSFERABLE and must be worn on the pool premises at all times. Failure to display, or produce your badge upon request by pool personnel, could mean expulsion for an indefinite time. WHEN SOMEONE IS FOUND TO BE USING SOMEONE ELSE’S BADGE, BOTH PARTIES MAY BE RESTRICED FROM ALL POOL PRIVILEGES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON. We encourage parents/guardians to explain this policy and the penalty to their children.

Applications may be completed online or mailed in, but since photos must be taken for the ID badges, each individual is required to pick up their badge in person. Applications will be accepted, and photos taken, at the pool officeduring normal hours of operation.

The pool will open for the season on Saturday, June 7th. The regular pool hours are from 12:00pm – 8:00pm Monday-Saturday, and 12:00pm - 6:00pm Sunday. Hours are subject to change.

Swim lessons will be available to members only at $50.00 per session, beginning on June 23rd. Sign-ups for the first session of lessons will begin on Wednesday, June 18th.

The pool closing date will be determined based on staff availability but our last scheduled pool opening will be on September 1st. The pool will be closing early for scheduled swim meets.Dates will be posted accordingly.

Please note that by applying for and accepting a swimming pool membership at the Harleysville Community Center you agree or acknowledge:

1. to abide by all rules, policies and regulations of the Harleysville Community Center for the use of the pool facilities.

1. that the use of any pool facility includes some risk of personal injury and such use has an inherent element of risk of injury or personal property damage.

1. that the Harleysville Community Center staff has the right to enforce rules of conduct and may remove members and guests from the premises for failure to comply with these rules. Members and guests shall not be entitled to receive a refund after such removal.

1. to provide, if requested, a birth certificate or other proof of age acceptable to Harleysville Community Center.

When any person is found to be using someone else’s badge, both parties may be restricted from all pool privileges. We request that all parents/guardians explain this policy and penalties to their children.
