Greenredeem School Donations Programme

Background

The Greenredeem School Donations programme encourages local schools to apply for and receive grants as a result of Greenredeem points donations from members in their local community.

Once approved, schools will be hosted on the Greenredeem website in the form of a league table. The school’s place on the table will be determined by how many points have been donated and the table will be updated live on the Greenredeem website. Any resident who is a registered member of the Greenredeem programme can choose to donate their points to their selected schools.

The more registered members who earn points for their recycling the sooner they can donate those points and the higher up the table the school will be. Schools will perform better if they can engage their pupils and parents to join and donate their points.

Once a year, during the summer term of the school year, the prizes will awarded:

  • 1st prize: £1,500
  • 2nd prize: £1,000
  • 3rd prize: £500
  • Spot prizes: up to £1,000*

*The spot prizes, chosen by a committee from Greenredeem & your local council, will select schools whose performance during the year has exceeded their size. We will definitely be aiming to reward some of the smaller schools in the area whose catchment area is smaller and pupil numbers lower.

Applications are welcomed from any school in the borough who want to positively impact their neighbourhood.

Guidelines for the Greenredeem School Donations programme are as follows:

All grants will be dependent on donated points from Greenredeem members. There is no pointto pound correlation. The top three prizes will be given to the schools with the most points donated.

Greenredeem is not asking for schools to apply for funding of specific projects. We would suggest though that schools attempt to tell their story in a way that will encourage not only their immediate community to donate but be compelling to a wider audience.

All grant recipients will be required to report back to Greenredeem by the end of the funding year with outcomes, photos, and supporting documentation that may be used for future communications by Greenredeem and your local council.

How to apply:

  1. Complete the grant application and submit via email to
  2. Applications will then be reviewed by a designated panel of Greenredeem and your local council, and approved schoolsposted to the donations page of Greenredeem.co.uk.
  3. The decision of the selection panel will be final and the only consideration for their selection will be the content of this application form.
  4. We will notify all applicants via email of the status of their application.
  5. If your school is selected, funding will be dependent on points donated towards your school by Greenredeem members.
  6. Greenredeem will offer downloadable printable materials so that schools can encourage as many people as possible to donate their GreenredeemPoints.

Thank you for your interest. We wish you luck with your donations, and as we’re not able to support every school that comes our way, we hope that your school prospers, with or without Greenredeem’s support.
