Eric Eichmann’s World Cup Soccer Camp- Spring 2012

Coach Eichmann is the Director of Player Development for the GBYSA / Boca United F.C. and the former Assistant Coach of the Miami Fusion. Coach Eichmann brings a wealth of soccer experience to our youth soccer players in the Greater Boca Raton area. Born and raised in South Florida, he enjoyed a highly successful playing career which included being selected two-time All-American at Clemson University and winning the NCAA National Championship his sophomore year. He turned pro and began his professional career with Werder Bremen in Germany. He was then selected to the U.S. Olympic Team and the U.S. National Team, which qualified for the World Cup (for the first time in 40 years) and competed in Italy in 1990. He went on to make 38 international appearances for the United States Team between 1986-1992. He played locally for the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers and was the leading goal scorer during the 1992 season. He also played for the St. Louis Ambush and won the NPSL Championship indoors in 1994. He finished his career with the Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer in 1996 and has returned to his home in South Florida. He has now dedicated himself to working with the young soccer players in our area with the hope that they too can enjoy the great experiences and opportunities the beautiful game of soccer has to offer. Known as one of the most skillful and creative American players of his time, coach Eichmann has the knowledge, ability, and insight to teach players the skills and technique required to be a successful player and to get the most enjoyment out of playing the game.

MEDICAL RELEASE AND CONSENT FORM: Applicant’s parent or legal guardian understands that soccer is a contact sport and that injuries may occur. Therefore, I represent to the GBYSA, and Eric Eichmann that applicant is of good health and has my permission to participate in this camp. In case of emergency, I grant permission for my son/daughter to be given medical treatment by local hospital and/or doctor, and I hereby waive and release GBYSA, Eric Eichmann, and camp staff from any claim for injuries that may be incurred by participation in the program offered by the GBYSA and Eric Eichmann, whether such injuries occur while observing, practicing or playing soccer, or otherwise.
