FFA

This week is the Williamson County livestock show and some of our FFA members have already seen success! On Monday, Madison Heil showed her pen of 3 market rabbits and did a great job, as it was very apparent her rabbits have been very well cared for and were well behaved! On Tuesday, Jackie Doss participated in the lamb show. Jackie’s market lamb placed 2nd in class! Jackie also participated in the Youth Fair and brought home lots of ribbons! Her farm-themed wreath placed 1st in class. She placed first in class with her photography as well. She entered her outdoor table she built here at East View and received Reserve Grand Champion! And finally, she earned Grand Champion with her adorable farm animal cupcakes!

Hat Creek Burger Companyis having a fundraiser for East Viewon Wednesday,January 18th from 5-9.

Hmmmmm,cheeseburger withfries. Oh anddon't forget to order a milkshake! Then just put your receipt in their bucket for EVHS to get 10% of the evening's proceeds.

CHOIR WANTS YOU!

Do you love to sing? Do you like being part of a team? Do you want to belong? Do you want to be part of excellence? If you answered yes, then the EVHS Choir Department is looking for you! We have a choir for every level. Whether you are experienced or not, there is a place for everyone. We will have both competitive and non-competitive choirsnext year. Interested in joining our choir family? Come by the EVHS Choir room to meet one of ourdirectors or fill out an information sheet which will be located on a table outside the choir room, #520. The award winning East View Choir program awaits you!

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS

The Special Education classes are in need of peer buddies. We are in need of 3 peer buddies during 2nd period and 1 peer buddy during 8th period. As a peer buddy you would be a role model to special education students and attend elective classes with them. If you are interested in becoming a peer buddy during 2nd or 8th period please see your counselor.

VOLUNTEER HOURS

GISD is hosting the Soccer Governor’s Cup Tournament this weekend (Thursday – Saturday), and next weekend (Thursday – Saturday). We would like to offer any East View students that need volunteer hours to sign up, and help in the concession stand or the hospitality room, etc. Students, no volunteering during your class hours, please.

The sign-up sheet will be with Mrs. McAlister at the diamond.

As College Board contacts you through e-mail with your PSAT score results, stop by the College and Career Center in room 502 to learn how to accesspersonalized SATpractice test by creating and connecting yourKhan Academy and College Board accounts. It’s quick, it’s easy and it will keep you on track for college.

ALL 11TH AND 12TH GRADERS
