Dear Friend of MAGSA, Parents and Business Owners/Managers:

Memorial Ashford Girls Softball Association (MAGSA) is a youth sports organization run totally by volunteers for the benefit of our youth here in West Houston. We need the support of our community businesses and individuals to keep our league running each year.

BENEFITS TO YOU:

1)Low-Cost Targeted Advertising reaching your local community.

2)Increasing sales for your business by developing community awareness and goodwill.

3)100% of your donation goes directly into league improvements and benefit all girls in the league.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP:

1)Sponsorships pay for all of our capital improvements, as well as paying for the required maintenance of our facility.

2)Last year, registration fees paid for 60% of our operating costs. All remaining maintenance costs and upgrades of our facilities are paid for by sponsorships and the funds raised by our carnival fundraiser. (If your would like to see a copy of our past financial performance, as well as our current budget and our capital plans for the next 2-3 years, please contact me directly).

3)Unlike several other leagues, we receive no funding or support from either the City of Houston or HarrisCounty. We also do not receive any special funding from any foundations.

4)As you can imagine, after 30 plus years there are improvements that need to be made to fences, lighting, batting cages and the concession stand.

WHO WE ARE:

1)MAGSA is a non-profit organization IRS 501 (C)-(3) and your donation is tax deductible (Tax ID 76-0632096).

2)The Board of Directors is composed of concerned parents who receive no compensation for providing this unique community service.

3)We believe in the value of “using youth sports to transform our youth” by teaching valuable life lessons which will benefit our leaders of tomorrow. (See footnote).

Youth softball has been played at the Memorial Ashford facility for over 35 years. The fields are located 300 yards south off Briar Forest behind the new HISD elementary school, ½ mile west of Dairy Ashford. MAGSA allows hundreds of girls to play ball each year. We hope that you will seriously consider making a donation this year. These girls benefit so much from playing on a team sport.

Attached is a list of the different levels of sponsorship for your consideration. If you have any questions regarding the league or the Sponsorship, please feel free to contact me at 713-557-9698.

Respectfully,

Tor Krosby

President, MAGSA
