Campus Life Coordinator (CLC)

The Campus Life Coordinator is a full-time (12-month; renewable upon review) entry-level administrative position, starting September 1, 2011. The position includes some evening and weekend work. Residence on campus in an apartment provided by TIUA is required May 1 through August 31.

Monthly salary is $2500 per month. Benefits include a comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care insurance plan (with premium paid by TIUA), enrollment in a retirement plan after the required 12-month eligibility period, on-campus food service credit equal to $60 per month (September through April), an optional monthly stipend for assistance with a health club membership, and eligibility for other optional benefits such as life and disability insurance. During the summer months, May through August, an apartment is provided in Kaneko Commons, along with a full meal plan (19 meals per week) at no cost to the Campus Life Coordinator; on campus residency is required during these summer months. Optional occupancy of the apartment is available from September through April for a monthly fee of $300 per month, which includes rent and all utilities.

Paid Training Opportunity:The person accepting this position is eligible to accept a temporary paid training position from June 1 through August 31, 2011. The position is “Student Life Assistant.” It is a 30-hour per week position. The stipend is $1500 per month, with housing (single room) and a full meal plan provided. No other benefits are provided during this training period. This position will be an ideal opportunity for the future CLC to gain valuable knowledge and experience. The Student Life Assistant will learn by providing support to all areas of Campus Life. It is highly recommended that the person accepting the CLC position take advantage of this temporary training position.

Goals and Expectations: The Campus Life Coordinator (CLC) is expected to assist and promote the overall goals of the Office of Campus Life, contributing to the effective management of Campus Life and Student Life programs and enhancing the campus-wide integration of TIUA and Willamette students. Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree or expected BA/BS upon spring graduation (2011). Preference is given to applicants with direct experience in the TIU-WU-TIUA exchange program, Student Involvement, Residence Life, and/or paraprofessional work or educational experience in an intercultural environment.
