PURPOSE: To support the incoming Executive Officers and Senators of the College of Charleston Student Government Association.
Therefore: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
ASSOCIATION IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, THE FOLLOWING:
SECTION I: The 2016-2017 Student Government Association fully supports the appointment incomingSGA Officers and election of Senators as they take their Oath of Office on this Thirteenth Day of September, Two Thousand and Sixteen
SECTION II: THIS RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT (UPON PASSAGE) BY THE STUDENT SENATE SITTING IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND THESIGNATURE OF THE STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT.

On this Nineteenth Day of September, 2017
PURPOSE: To appoint Olivia Rothsteinto the following position: Senior Senator of the
Student Government Association.
WHEREAS: In the event a vacancy occurs within the Senate
because of resignation or failure to petition for office, the vacancy shall be filled by individuals who
have completed the requirements of the office. The candidate must be
nominated and shall be approved by a 2/3vote of the Senate. The Student Government Association President shall immediately swear in
these new Senators.
WHEREAS: Olivia Rothsteinmeets all requirements for appointment to this position.
THEREFORE: BE IT ENACTED BY THE SENATE OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
ASSOCIATION IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, THE FOLLOWING:
SECTION I: Olivia Rothstein shall be appointed to the position of Senior Senator for the
2017-2018 Academic Year.
SECTION II: THIS BILL SHALL TAKE EFFECT (UPON PASSAGE) BY THE STUDENT
SENATE SITING IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND THE SIGNATURE OF THE STUDENT
BODY PRESIDENT.
