SWIMMING POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following rules are for the protection and benefit of all to ensure safety and a sanitary operation of the pool facilities. Your cooperation in complying with these conditions will afford pleasant relaxation and recreation for all. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe and obey all of the rules.

1.Guest Usage of the Pool

Homeowners may bring guests to the pool. The following rules are hereby promulgated:

A) Only four (4) guests per household are permitted

B) An adult homeowner must accompany children under 15 years of age

C) Children 16-17 years of age may come to the pool without an adult, but may NOT bring guests.

D) All homeowners must sign in with lifeguards

E) Lifeguards are present for emergency purposes

F) All parents shall supervise their children, and are responsible for the acts and/or actions of their children.

G) Call the Plano Non-Emergency Police (630)552-3121 or 911 in case of an emergency. Do not call the HOA for problems occurring between homeowners and/or guests.

H) Lifeguards and pool personnel may promulgate additional rules for usage of the pool.

Further, all rules, orders or pronouncements of any lifeguards or pool personnel must be followed.

2.Diving into the pool is not allowed at anytime.

3.Personal conduct within the pool facility must be such that the safety of self and others is not jeopardized.

4.Profane language, running, pushing, and rough play will NOT be tolerated. Spitting or spouting water via ones mouth, blowing the nose or otherwise introducing contaminants into the pool are not permitted. Swimmers who behave inappropriately will be asked to leave by the lifeguard. The lifeguard on duty has the authority to suspend ALL pool privileges after three violations.

5.NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, glass containers or breakable objects are permitted in the pool area. Food is permitted only in the designated area. Liquid refreshments are allowed in the pool area, provided they are in unbreakable containers. No chewing gum is allowed in the pool area.

6.Any person(s) under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behaviors will not be permitted in the pool area.

7.Smoking is not permitted in the pool area.

8.Pets are not allowed in the pool area. No bicycles or other similar vehicles allowed in the pool area

9.Showers are required before swimming. Bathers who leave the pool area for any reason are required to shower before returning to the pool.

10.Proper swim attire is required. Cut-offs and thong suits are not permitted in the pool. People in street shoes, and other spectators, are not allowed in the pool, on the pool deck, or in the wet area of the bathroom/shower. Street shoes must be removed before entering the pool area.

11.Children who are unable to swim may NOT use water wings. Only life vests approved by the United States Coast Guard are to be used. If a non-swimmer uses such a life vest, a parent or guardian MUST maintain direct supervisory contact at all times with the non-swimmer. Kick boards, tubes, inflatable rafts are only permitted in the pool at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. No water guns/dispensers are allowed in the pool area. Other pool toys are permitted at the discretion of the lifeguard.

12.Lockers are available. All items stored in the lockers must be removed daily, as well as locks. Locks that are not removed at the end of the day will be cut off.

13.Children not yet toilet trained must wear swim diapers and plastic protective pants at all times when in the

pool area.

14.All trash must be put in the containers provided in designated areas

15.Any person(s) found to be in the pool before or after pool hours will lose their pool privileges, and the police will be called for trespassing.

16.Only battery-operated radios equipped with ear phones are permitted by pool users. (Note that the Association and the assigned management company assume NO responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items).

17.Admission to the pool is prohibited to all persons having any contagious disease of infectious condition, such as but not limited to: a cold, fever, ringworm, foot infection, skin lesions, carbuncles, boils, inflamed eyes, ear discharges, diarrhea, or any other condition which has the appearance of being infectious. In addition to any person(s) with excessive sunburn, unhealed abrasions, unhealed cuts or sores, corn plasters, bunion pads.

18.Adhesive bandages, bandage wraps, and adhesive tape of any size, shape, or type are prohibited from the pool area.

19.Persons using suntan preparations that leave a greasy or oily substance on their skin must take a shower and remove these substances before entering the pool.

20.The pool will close when the air temperature is below 70 degrees and/or on rainy days, or if a serious chemical imbalance in the water occurs.

21.During adult swim, no children or babies will be allowed in the pool.

22.Pool parties are not allowed.

23.These rules may be modified at any time. If this occurs, a revised set of rules will be sent to all homeowners.

24.Any person(s) not following the rules may forfeit their right to use the pool.

25.To be granted access to the pool, residents must have an account in good standing. Anyone caught bringing someone who is not current may forfeit their own right to use the facility.

All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. The Lakewood Springs Club Homeowners Association and the assigned management company assume NO responsibility for any accident or injury in connection with such use, or for any loss of or damage to personal property. Persons using the pool agree to NOT hold The Lakewood Springs Club Homeowners Association or the assigned management company liable for any accidents or injuries of whatever nature occurring within the pool area. Residents will be responsible for the actions of their children and guests.
