Dear 7th grade student (and parent/guardian),

The seventh grade science teachers are excited to announce a wonderful field trip opportunity for all 7th grade students. In September, we will be traveling to beautiful Tybee Island to participate in the 4-H Environmental Education Program. Students will explore the fascinating coastal environmentwhile participating in hands-on activities which incorporate science, math, language arts, social studies, and art. Our busy itinerary includes visits to the beach, salt marsh, and maritime forest, and exploring the inter-coastal waterways by land and boat. Students will also examine native plants and animals found in these unique environments. There are many more exciting activities to look forward to!
