FACULTYDISTINGUISHED RESEARCH AWARDPROGRAM

Purpose:To fund outstandingresearch projects by School of Art and Design faculty.

Eligibility:All full-time School of Art and Design faculty with regular appointments (including full-time lecturers). Visiting and adjunct faculty are not eligible.

Funding:The average award is $1,500-$3,000. Support can be requested for up to $5,000 (for projects of exceptional merit).

(Please note: Travel cannot be funded by the Myers Foundations.)

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED ACTIVITIES

You must provide all of the following information to be considered for funding (not to exceed 5 pages). Please include the application, cv, images, and support material in one electronic file.

(1)Description of research activity; include a statement regarding its significance for the School and/or the University.

(2)Significance of activity for your professional development. Discuss the

relationship of this new project to your on-going research agenda.

(3)Identification of expected research product (exhibition, publication, conference presentation, etc.).

(4)Calendar/schedule of research activity.

(5)Plan for presentation of research activity to students over 2015-16 year.

(6)Attach a copy of your current C.V.

(7)Attachimages (images should be 300dpi and no larger than five or six inches in either direction.), correspondence, bibliography, or other

relevant supporting documentation.
