PAYMENT may be made by cheque payable to Bonnyville Baptist Church or paid by debit/cash. Damage deposit must be paid by cheque payable to Bonnyville Baptist Church. Payment and damage deposit cheque are to be delivered in person during office hours one week prior to the event.

I/We understand that Bonnyville Baptist Church will inspect the facility following the event to ensure that the terms and conditions have been followed and that no damage has occurred to the facility or contents as outlined in the terms and conditions. At this time, if damages have been found, I/we will be contacted by Bonnyville Baptist Church and informed of the charge to be paid.

I/We understand that if audio/visual equipment is included as part of this rental agreement additional fees apply to cover the cost of BBC provision of one of their audio/visual technicians.

Alcohol and Smoking~ Absolutely no alcohol is permitted inside or outside the church premises. We also ask that all smoking be kept outside the church building.

I/We have read the following terms and conditions, and understand fully and agree with the guidelines set out by Bonnyville Baptist Church.

1. All communication from the Renter to Bonnyville Baptist Church (BBC) shall be directed to the Administrative Assistant or Administrator by phone 780-826-4801, email or in person at 4111 – 43 Avenue, Bonnyville, AB.

2. Compliance With Regulations - The Renter agrees to comply with all building and fire regulations for the event and to comply with any facility rules adopted by BBC for the Facility.

3. Usage of Bonnyville Baptist Church - By renting the Facility to the Renter, Bonnyville Baptist Church in no way relinquishes its right to control the management of the Facility and to enforce all necessary rules and regulations as may be required. BBC may use other components of the facility during the event that does not materially interfere with the usage by the Renter.

4. Prohibited Activities - The Facility has been designated as a non-smoking and alcohol-free building. Bonnyville Baptist Church property has been designated alcohol-free. Bonnyville Baptist Church is an evangelical church and will not rent the Facility to any group whose constitution or intended usage of the Facility contravenes the Articles of Faith of Bonnyville Baptist Church published at

Bonnyville Baptist Church reserves the right to terminate the event booking if there is a discrepancy between the actual event and the description of the event provided by the Renter in this agreement such that the actual event materially contravenes those Articles of Faith, in which case BBC shall repay in full any deposit/fees paid by the Renter without further liability of either party.

5. Cancellation – Bonnyville Baptist Church will refund payment in full for any event which is cancelled.

6. Operation of Sound and Visual Media Equipment - Only Bonnyville Baptist Church trained Audio/Video technicians shall be allowed to set up, operate and take down Audio/Video equipment anywhere in the building unless otherwise arranged. Additional fees will be charged for use of audio/visual equipment.

7. Decorations and Table Cloths - All decorating to be completed for the event shall be the sole responsibility of the Renter unless otherwise arranged. No decoration shall be fastened to the wall of the Facility or otherwise affixed in such a manner that will damage the Facility. Take-down and clean-up of decorations is also the responsibility of the Renter unless arranged with the Administrative Assistant/Administrator. BBC does not provide linens.

8. Kitchen Services – The kitchen is not a commercial kitchen and shall not be used for preparation of food by any caterers or food service providers. It may be used for serving only.

9. Renter’s Insurance – Bonnyville Baptist Church will maintain all risk insurance with respect to its equipment and property as well as comprehensive general liability insurance for bodily injury and property damage arising out of the BBC’s use, occupation or operation of the premises. The Renter shall place the following insurance and provide BBC with a Certificate of Insurance confirming such placement.

a) All risk insurance, including without limitation, fire, extended coverage and malicious damage insurance for the full replacement value of the Renter’s equipment and property;

b) Comprehensive general liability insurance, insuring against claims for bodily injury, including death and property damage or loss arising out of the Renter's use or occupation of the premises. Such insurance shall be for the amount of not less than $2,000,000.00 single occurrence and $4,000,000.00 in aggregate;

c) Tenant's legal liability insurance in an amount not less than $2,000,000.00.

10. Waiver of Liability - Excepting an event of misconduct or negligence by Bonnyville Baptist Church or its agents, the Renter covenants that it will not hold BBC, its board or its employees responsible for any medical or personal injury, or any other loss or damage and hereby waives any claim against BBC. The Renter acknowledges that it is its responsibility to take the necessary steps for insuring against personal injury, loss, property damage, or any other loss of damage that might be incurred by it or the people at the Facility during the event.

11. Indemnity - The Renter hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Bonnyville Baptist Church, its officers, agents and employees, of and from all demands, claims, suits, actions or liabilities resulting from injuries or death to any person or from any property damage occurring during the rental term arising by reason of any breach, violation or non-performance under this agreement by the Applicant, its directors, agents, or employees. Bonnyville Baptist Church hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Applicant, its officers, directors, agents and employees, of and from all demands, claims, suits, actions or liabilities resulting from injuries or death to any person or from any property damage occurring during the rental term arising by reason of any breach, violation or non-performance under this agreement by BBC, its officers, agents or employees.

12. Authorization for Treatment - In the event of injury or illness, the Renter authorizes Bonnyville Baptist Church personnel, staff or designates to seek and obtain such emergency or medical services for people as may be deemed necessary at the time.

13.The Renter shall not assign or sublet any interest in this Rental Agreement to be used by anyone other than the Renter or Renter's employees, without BBC’s prior written consent.

14.This Rental Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. No modification or amendment of this agreement shall be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties. This contract replaces any and all prior agreements between the parties. If any portion of this agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable. If a court finds that any provision of this contract is invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting such provision, it would become valid and enforceable, then such provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited.

15.This agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta.
