Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:

  • A graduate or previous graduate of a Bartow County or Cartersville City schooland will be enrolled as a full time student in an accredited college, university, or technical school during the current academic year;
  • A home-schooled student who has been a Bartow County resident for 3 years or more and will be enrolled as a full time student in an accredited college, university, or technical school during the current academic year;
  • A GED student who has been a Bartow County resident for 3 years or moreand will be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, or technical school during the current academic year;
  • A non-traditional student who has been a resident of Bartow County for 3 yearsor more and will be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, or technical school during the current academic year.

University of North Georgia Military Scholarship

Requirements

  • Be a legal resident of Georgia.
  • Receive anominationfrom aGeorgia Legislatorfrom your congressional district.
  • Meet the academic requirements and gain acceptance as aregular freshman Cadetat UNG.
  • Meet Army National Guard enlistment standards.
  • Agree to serve as an enlisted memberinthe Georgia Army National Guard while participating as a Cadet at UNG.
  • If awarded a scholarship, you must commission upon graduation from UNG and serve four years as an officer in the Georgia Army National Guard.See FAQs for more details.
  • The UNGMS is worth $70,000 over four years. Cartersville High School has had students in the past to be awarded this scholarship!

The Metro Atlanta Relocation Council (MARC) Scholarship

  • $1500 scholarship
  • Deadline is February 23, 2018
  • Applications are available in the counseling office.
  • Requirements:1) currently a high school senior in good standing at an Atlanta area high school
  • 2) has relocated more than 50 miles and changed schools to do their family’s relocation between grades 9 and 12
  • 3)currently have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.

  • Applicants must be: Current high school senior in Bartow County, minimum GPA of 2.75

New Frontier of Bartow County (Joy Hill-Watson Memorial Scholarship)

  • Applicants must be: Current high school senior in Bartow County, minimum GPA of 2.75

New Frontier of Bartow County (Michael Dean Scholarship)

  • Applicants must be: Current high school senior in Bartow County, minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Planning to pursue a degree at Tennessee State University or another Historical Black College or University

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

  • Serving has an advocate for young people with the greatest need, the Foundation assists increasing numbers of minority youths through the granting of four-year college scholarships and comprehensive practical support. While each Jackie Robinson Scholar receives up to $28,000over four years in direct support, they also become an active member in the Foundation’s unique Mentoring and Leadership Development Program, which is an extensive mentoring program that includes practical skills-building and exposure through attendance at conference workshops, the assignment of peer and professional mentors, assistance with internship and employment placement, and a myriad of other networking opportunities.

Georgia Mining Foundation Technical Scholarship Program

  • If you are attending a technical college (i.e. Chattahoochee Technical College or any other Georgia Technical College) during the 2018-2019 school year, please consider applying for one of the GMF’s $350 scholarships

Georgia Mining Foundation General Scholarship Program

  • Our high school seniors may be eligible for one of these $500 scholarships.

2018 Harlan Archer Four-Year Scholarship Program (sponsored by the Georgia Mining Foundation)

  • $4,000 ($1,000 per year for four years)
  • Limited to those students planning on attending Mercer University, Georgia Tech, or Southern Polytechnic at Kennesaw State University

Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship (for future educators)

  • This scholarship is for female students who plan on pursuing a degree in Education.

Mitchell & Crunk Adoption Scholarship

  • Applicants must be attending college by the Fall 2018 semester. The scholarship will be judged on merit and need. Academic achievements as well as any leadership experiences will be taken in to account.
