That the Minutes of the AGM held in Christchurch on 6 December 2010, as previously circulated be approved as a true and correct record:

4. PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
D Henderson’s report was distributed to all members with the AGM Agenda. He thanked Executive Members and M Davidson for their support during the year. As indicated in the report progress with the development of qualifications has been slow and this is disappointing. The Executive do have a recommendation as reported in the EVANZ Business Session earlier and this will be decided upon later in the meeting.

5. AUDITED ACCOUNTS 1/7/10 to 30/06/11:
The audited accounts for the year ending June 2011 have been circulated to all members. with the AGM Agenda.

That the audited accounts for the year ending June 2011, as previously circulated be approved.

6. FIXING OF SUBSCRIPTIONS 2010-2011:
The Executive is recommending to the membership that subscriptions be set at the same level as last financial year.

Seconded: R Sutherland that subscriptions for the 2011/12 year be set as follows:
Single venue $410 plus gst
Second venue $250 plus gst
Third venue $150 plus gst
Fourth or fifth venues $150 plus gst
Associate members $250 plus gst
CARRIED
Members will receive invoices for the above subscriptions in early December.
7. ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Nominations were called for the Executive committee and the following nominations were received:

Nelita Byrne was welcomed to the Executive and D Henderson thanked Craig Goodall for his contribution over the past 5 years.
The new Executive will elect a President at its first meeting.
9. APPOINTMENT OF AUDITOR:

That MTM Accounting Ltd Wellington is appointed to prepare the 2011/12 financial year accounts and provide a financial report.

10. GENERAL:
a) Accounts presentation – members requested that the Auditor’s report be included with the accounts when they are sent out prior to the AGM.
b) Venue Statistics – M Davidson reminded members that statistics for the year ending 2010 are still being collected. This is proving difficult however it is still possible to achieve this.
c) Qualification Development – D Henderson referred members to the discussions held in the EVANZ Business Session earlier in the day and asked members to approve expenditure by EVANZ to develop the foundation qualification by engaging an outside consultant. This project could cost up to $15K however this qualification is required by the sector and EVANZ needs to progress its development.

Seconded: G Fraser that the Executive prepare a brief for an outside contractor to help the sector develop the Foundation Qualification and approve up to 15K expenditure

d) EVANZ Excellence Award – G Fraser recommended that the Executive consider awarding this award to Brent Ford at an appropriate time in the future.
