What’s New at the ENF this February: Speaking Points for Lodge Meetings
Share these speaking points with members of your Lodge.
· Remind Lodges to apply for a Beacon Grant.
What to Say: We shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to serve our community with a $2,000 Beacon Grant. More than 500 Lodges have already used this grant to start or continue ongoing, Elks-led charitable projects like monthly dinners for hospitalized veterans or winter coat drives for low-income students. Let’s join this group of service-minded Lodges! Beacon Grant applications need to be submitted online by March 31, 2015.

· Donate before the end of the fiscal year.
What to Say: March 31 marks the end of another successful fiscal year for the Elks National Foundation. Help the ENF finish the year on a strong note by donating online or by mail by March 31. If our Lodge meets the GER’s per-member-giving goal of $4.60 by March 31, 2015, we will be eligible to apply for a $2,000 Community Investments Program Gratitude Grant to serve the community. Identify a need in our community. How can a Gratitude Grant help our Lodge meet that need?

What to Say: Young athletes across the country are stepping up to the foul line for a place in the 2015 Hoop Shoot National Finals. District and state contests are heating up, and the competition only gets tougher at the regional level. Follow the road to Springfield for Hoop Shoot updates, including news on the first 2015 National Finalists after the West Region contest in late February. How far have contestants from our Lodge advanced? What can we do to engage them now and after the Hoop Shoot season?

What to Say: Ongoing support ensures stronger communities well into the future. The ENF Loyalty Club celebrates long-term support by honoring donors who give annually for 10 or more consecutive fiscal years. Count down to Loyalty Club membership with your Leading to Loyalty membership card sticker, found at the bottom of your gift acknowledgment letter. If you haven’t already donated this fiscal year, donate to the ENF by March 31, 2015, and become one year closer to ENF Loyalty Club membership.
