February and March activities
Baby Social
A 6 week programme of activities, information and advice for parents and their babies aged 0-6 months – massage, weaning, first aid and baby play.
Twins
Fun activities and support for parents/carers and their twins/triplets.
Groups for children with additional needs
Play & Chat Group
A chance to meet other parents and children and talk to professionals from Health and Education.
Sensory Group
Come and enjoy the sensory play equipment, messy play and sign and sing.
Little Explorers
Fun activities and support for families with children under 5 years. Learn, enjoy and play!
Infant massage
A 5 week course for you and your baby to enjoy infant massage.
Bookstart
4 weeks of activities for parents and children aged 12-30 months, sharing stories, books and rhymes.
Music, Craft & Chat
For young parents under 25 years and their children aged 0-5 years – songs, instruments, arts and crafts.
Language & Play
A fun and practical course to give parents ideas to encourage their child’s language development.
Bump Start
A 4 week course for expectant parents offering information and support for all, from bumps to babies.
Baby Sitting course
A comprehensive course for young people to help them with confidence and skills when starting to baby sit
The Recovery Toolkit
A 12 week programme for female survivors of domestic abuse.
Learn, Enjoy & Play (LEAP)
Information and support to help your
child learn and developby talking, singing and
sharing activities.
Holiday Family Fun Days
Come and join us - activities for families with children aged from birth to 11 years.
Positive Parenting Programme
A 7 week programme for parents of children aged 2-12 years. Giving confidence to build positive relationships and deal with challenging behaviour, to enjoy a more harmonious home life.

Family Support and the Children’s Centre
At the Children’s Centre, we offer a range of services to meet the needs of children
(aged 0-18years) and their families. Children’s wellbeing is at the heart of all our work.
Some families choose to come along to activities and groups, including holiday fun days and courses, whilst others may be looking for more individual support. Over the page you’ll find our latest programme of activities and below are some examples of the types of more individual support we can offer. Please get in touch if you think we may be able to help:
- Building secure relationships between children and their parents or carers and having fun together
- Changes in family life, such as separation or bereavement, a new baby or moving schools
- Managing children’s more difficult behaviour
- The impact of adults’ and children’s physical or mental health needs
- The impact of bullying, violence or drug or alcohol misuse
- Building children’s confidence and emotional wellbeing
We welcome new ideas from families, so please contact us if you have thoughts about what’s needed locally or you’d like to be involved in helping us to plan services for the future. We look forward to hearing from you.
