New York, NY – January 18, 2012 – Tickets for the The Village Voice’s fifth annual tasting event, “Choice Eats,” are on sale noon today, Wednesday January 18. This year’s foodie-beloved event is guaranteed to be just as successful as years past, when the event boasted 60+ restaurants and food from over 35 nations. Each of this year’s participating restaurants will be hand picked by Village Voice resident food critics, Robert Sietsema and Lauren Shockey. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM at the 69th Armory on Lexington Avenue in New York City.

A new event to 2012, the Village Voice is also proud to announce its first annual “Choice Streets” Food Truck tasting event on Tuesday, April 24 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM, featuring over 25 of some of the city’s favorite and highly sought-after food trucks. Set amid the backdrop of the New York Landmark – The Intrepid – attendees will feast onboard Pier 86 and enjoy an evening of fabulous food, drinks and an amazing view of New York City.

Ticket prices for this year’s “Choice Eats” event feature a VIP ($80) and General Admission ($50) Ticket.Ticket prices include complementary food tasting, beverages and entertainment throughout the night plus the addition of “Choice Sweets” desserts throughout the event. The VIP ticket allows guests to skip the line and gain entrance to an exclusive “Choice “Eats” VIP room one hour early at 5:30 for early sampling, a VIP gift bag, complimentary beverages, live demos and a private “Choice Sweets” dessert sampling VIP room.
