Is concerned about the high amount of students having health insurance issues

  1. Diane thinks the issue could be IBX backup – gap in coverage between former active enrollment and current/new enrollment.
  2. Diane is planning to get a hold of Velda Jones – Human Resources Health Coordinator.
  3. Coverage should be retroactive once situation is rectified
  4. Diane believes it is due to students enrolling early before they received their award letters.
  1. Students still concerned about not being paid early enough in the year
  2. Considered having an addendum made to our present bargaining agreement to be paid either twice a month, or earlier
  3. Student in the Bioengineering Department not appointed an RA position
  4. Student is not being appointed as an RA because there is no money
  5. Problem emerging in multiple departments – lack of funding for first year students
  6. Suggests making a list of TA/RA opportunities for graduate students
  7. Diane highlights that the Writing Center often does not offer full TA’ships

  9. Regarding missing language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding Summer paid TA’s

  11. Week of September 30th is TUGSA Audit
  12. Was curious whether the union was interested in a food budget
