Compensation and Human Resources Consultant

Work you’ll do as a Compensation and HR Consultant:

  • Research, gather, and analyze compensation data to determine appropriate salary levels for various positions.
  • Maintain a compensation database to access compensation information and associated job descriptions.
  • Conduct salary surveys, interpret salary data, and perform compensation analyses.
  • Develop compensation analysis methodology to provide recommendations for base salaries and incentive pay programs.
  • Evaluate new and existing positions to create alignment with organizational classification structures and salary bands.
  • Support the development, execution, and administration of compensation policies and programs. Interpret compensation practices, guidelines, laws, and regulations.
  • Support the development of a competitive compensation strategy and structure to attract both active and passive candidates.
  • Assist with conducting workforce reviews to improve organizational efficiency.

Our small and dynamic team collaborates on a variety of strategic human resource projects to research information, analyze results, and develop critical recommendations to enhance the client’s organizational effectiveness.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field with a focus on research and data analysis
  • 3+ years of compensation analysis experience
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Desire to support clients in various areas of HR (compensation, organizational assessments, job description development and analysis, policy and procedure development, etc.)
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work independently on projects
  • Detail-oriented

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 + years consulting experience
  • Experience managing compensation projects
