CITY OF FERNANLAKEVILLAGE
REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING (Minutes)
September 14th, 2015
Mayor Jurvelin called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. There was a quorum present of Council members Acuff, Job, Hoffman and Tierney. Staff membersKim FontesandBill Appleton were present.
Agenda - The Council reviewed the agenda. There was a motion made by Councilmember Job and seconded by CouncilmemberTierney to approve the agenda.Motion carried with Acuff, Job, Hoffman and Tierney.
August Minutes -The minutes for the August 3rd, 2015City Council meeting was reviewed. There was a motion made by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by Councilmember Acuffto approve theAugust 3rd, 2015 minutes. Motion carried with Acuff, Job, Hoffman and Tierney.
Financials- The Council reviewed theFinancials Report. There was a motion made by Councilmember Acuff, seconded by Councilmember Jobto approve the financials. Motion carried with Acuff, Job, Hoffman and Tierney.
Payables - The Council reviewed the payables report. There was some discussion on 2 sewer invoices. There was a motion made by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by CouncilmemberJobto approve the payables except for 2 sewer invoices until confirmation from City Engineer. Motion carried with Acuff, Job, Hoffman and Tierney.
Council Reports
-Doris discussed Hazard/Mitigation plan, assumption Fernan covered.
-Heidi discussed the U of I presentation on LakeAlgae.
-Heidi discussed the cancelled picnic due to smoke.
Councilmember Tierney requested check for Patrick Kelly for 50.00 who prepare lights for Fernan Christmas Tree. Attorney suggested it be out of casual labor budget. There was a motion made by Councilmember Job seconded by Councilmember Acuff to pay the fee to Mr. Kelly. Motion carried with Acuff, Job, Hoffman and Tierney.
