BLACKHAWK HOCKEY ASSOCIATION:BOARD MEETING

Minutes from the December 7, 2009 Meeting

Board Members Present: Jon Zevenbergen, John Bresina, David Jacobson, Annette Connett, Pax Rasmussen, Jason Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Steve Anderson, Katie Metz, Lise Klingler & Mark Grognet.

Board Members Absent:Andy Lindus & Brian Stevens.

Other Members Present: Jason Connett & Shawn Rasmuson.

Secretary Report: November 2009 Secretary Minutes reviewed with no noted changes, questions or concerns. November minutes were approved by Dave Jacobson, second by Jason Anderson. No objections noted.

Treasurer Report: Blackhawk Hockey December Financial Update received and reviewed by the board. The main deposit monies came from concessions revenue. Bills to be paid were reviewed: John Bresina motion to pay all noted bills, seconded by Mark Grognet. No objections noted.

Village Meeting: Met with Village to review current rink status. Jon Zevenbergen reported on June Bug Days, the recent updated improvements and registration numbers.

Rink Projects:

Clean Glass.

Put up railing down the stairs.

Hot water problem: get estimates for updating system.

Trophy cases need glass installed.

Bantam Total Hockey: members have not been participating b/c of scheduled practices. Dave to reimburse monies if the members fees are paid in full.

Double Roster Clarification: Discussion held regarding double roster players. Several players have participated in games before the guideline date because of player injuries, sickness and absence.

Committees:

Coach: No report given. Note that ref clinic will be held Dec. 29 at the rink.

Fundraising:Calendar fundraiser in progress.

Building & Grounds:Outside boards are up. Open skate for December 27 will be cancelled because of the Varsity Tournament.

Concessions: New cart purchased for hauling of supplies.

Tournaments: Mite tourney up first in November.

Next Meeting: will be held Monday, January 4, 2010, 7:30 p.m. at the UnitedCivicCenter.
