The Wellston Board of Education met in the administration office of the Wellston School on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. for a regular board meeting. Board members present were: Justin Rackley - President, Amanda Tillison - Vice President, Angel Riggs – Clerk, Mallory Ebers- member, and G.W. Paull – member. Dwayne Danker – Superintendent, Sarah Endecott – Minutes Clerk, Tracy Fredman – HS/MS Principal, Letha Bauter - Elem. Principal, and Jerry Key - Treasurer. Guests present were Marty Coulson and Anna Marie Perdue.

  1. Justin Rackley – President, called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. with all members present.
  1. Angel Riggs made the motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Amanda Tillison seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.
  1. Hearing of Citizens: None.
  1. Amanda Tillison made the motion to approve the minutes of the October 9, 2017 regular board meeting. Angel Riggs seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.
  1. Mallory Ebers made the motion to approve financial statements, encumbrances, State and Federal Funds (October FY18 purchase orders, sign Encumbrance Registers for FY18) warrants, approval and payment of bills. Amanda Tillison seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.
  1. Reports from school personnel:
  1. Dwayne Danker, Superintendent, reported on school finance.
  1. Tracy Fredman, HS/MS Principal, reported on upcoming activities, enrollment and remediation report.
  1. Letha Bauter, Elementary Principal, reported on upcoming activities and enrollment.
  1. Mallory Ebers made the motion to approve a HS/MS Baseball budget for the 2017-2018 school year. G.W. Paull seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.
  1. Mallory Ebers made the motion to approve a Boys Basketball budget for the 2017-2018 school year. G.W. Paull seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes
  1. Amanda Tillison made the motion to approve a school board meeting calendar for the 2018 year. Mallory Ebers seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.
  1. G.W. Paull made the motion to approve the 2018 annual school election resolution. Angel Riggs seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.

14.  PERSONNEL: Discuss and vote to convene into executive session to discuss personnel, review evaluations, and review any applications, discuss resignations, discuss employment of replacements for personnel that have resigned or are resigning. Discuss the resignation of Kim Ethridge. Discuss the resignation of Wayne Bell. Discuss any other resignations received. Pursuant to Title 25 O.S. Section 307 (B)(1) Executive sessions will be permitted…for the purpose of discussing employing, hiring, appointing, promoting, demoting, disciplining, or receiving the resignation of an employee.

C.  Amanda Tillison made the motion to approve the resignation of Kim Ethridge. Angel Riggs seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.

D.  Amanda Tillison made the motion to approve the resignation of Wayne Bell. Angel Riggs seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0, yes.

E.  No other resignations.
