STANDARD ASSESSMENT EVENT 2 – WRITTEN RESPONSE
Method of Assessment
A written response that:
· is based on individual research
· evaluates information
· uses appropriate information collected from a range of academic sources
· uses appropriate structure and mechanics of language
· includes a bibliography with two annotated items
· uses academic written format.
Conditions
· the format of the written response will be either an essay or a report
· the essay or report must be between 1000 and 1200 words
· annotations should be no more than 100 words and will evaluate the references for reliability and relevance
· this SAE is weighted at 50% of the total marks for this unit.
A draft of each item MUST be submitted and submission of drafts is to be NO LATER than 2 weeks before the final text is due.
Drafts due no later than Week 15 of the 18 week program
Final Copy due no later than Week 17 of the program
