Job Title:QCF Assessor

Base:Head Office, Llandrindod Wells

Hours:37hours week

Salary Grade:£18,560 f.t.e. – Trainee Assessor

£19,894 f.t.e. – Qualified Assessor

Responsible to:Senior IQA and Assessor

  • SCOPE OF THE POST

To provide a professional role in supporting learners from commencement to completion of their QCF and ESW qualifications, as appropriate. Ensuring that their learning needs are identified and met appropriately, that they are provided with the necessary training, support and assessment and that their progress is monitored in order to achieve success within identified timescales.

  • DUTIES OF THE POST
  1. To carry out Induction and Initial Assessment with learners in line with Cymryd Rhan requirements and any additional requirements set by funders, to include qualification requirements, health and safety, equal opportunities and additional requirements.
  1. Assist with the verification process of candidates, as required.
  1. To act as QCF Assessor and assist learners to successfully complete their qualifications.
  1. To arrange and manage own appointments, giving consideration to most effective use of visits and travelling.
  1. To follow the guidance issued by both the Awarding Bodies and Cymryd Rhan with regard to assessment practice and the completion of documentation.
  1. To conduct regular reviews of progress involving the learner and their employer, as appropriate, to ensure achievement of the agreed outcomes within the timescale.
  1. To keep a tracking system of all learners and update on a monthly basis for internal and funder requirements.
  1. To alert the Centre Manager of any potential deferments or other areas of concern with a learner within a maximum of 14 days following a visit/notification/discussion with learner.
  1. To attend and contribute to regular standardisation meetings.
  1. To complete all paperwork required to meet audit requirements.

Job Related Tasks:

  1. To work in line with all Cymryd Rhan policies and procedures.
  1. To contribute to the development of Cymryd Rhan and the Business Support and Training Team and to actively participate in team meetings, as required.
  1. To work in partnership with all staff and associate trainers at Cymryd Rhan to help ensure that service users receive the best possible services.
  1. To attend relevant events and meetings as directed by the ProjectsManager or Line Manager.
  1. To receive supervision and appraisal and to undertake training and professional development as required.
  1. To promote equality and diversity in all aspects of the role.
  1. To undertake such other related duties, commensurate with the level of responsibility and remuneration for the post.
