INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING H: DRIVE FROM HOME.
1. Go to District Website thru your home Internet system.
2. On the Green strip under the CD apple, click on the Moodle
icon.
3. When Moodle opens up, look to the right side of the screen
under the login area for the statement,
"CDSD Webfiles - Remotely access
your CDSD files."
Click on that statement.
4. A logon box will pop up for you to
log onto H: drive as though you were
logging onto your computer at school.
Username = 16smithbc (student example)
Password = whatever yours is
5. Another box will open up welcoming you to accessing your files and asking you to accept the
District's "Acceptable Use Policy 815 and the Code of Conduct." Click OK.
6. Your H: drive should now be in front of you.
7. In order to open a file, you must first Select it, then right click on the document and chose
"Download" and then "Open" in the next box.
8. Once you change the document by editing that original text, you must Save the document on
your home computer with the same saved name as it is in your H: drive.
9. Close the document screen after saving it to your computer with the Red X in the top right corner.
You should now be back to the screen containing your files from your H: drive.
10. Above all of your listed files, Click on the "Upload" button and a box will open up for you to browse
for that document which you saved on your home computer. Select file and click Open.
11. That document should now be in the "Uploading Multiple Files" box and you then click on the
"Upload" box at the bottom of that box.
12. Your edited document should now be saved on your H: drive. This document should be the updated
file when you return to school and try to open it from your school computer.
Again, the basic steps once you have opened your H: drive from district website are:
1. Select document, Right click on document and Download
2. Edit document and Save document (with same file name) on your home computer.
3. Upload and browse for that document on your home computer. Upload again.
