Any comments or constructive criticisms you may have are to be directed towards your regional delegate who will represent your views at the specially convened meeting that is designed for this purpose. That meeting usually takes place in Perth in December and you will be contacted for input.

Thanks to schools for support of BStreetSmarton Tues night.
Feedback included:
  • Teachers agreed this was a worthwhile event
  • Every 2 years would be best. Tuesday night is best.
  • Needs to be made shorter and start time could be 6.30pm (7-8.30 for the production)
  • Kids being tired is a problem. Timing was discussed. Peak hour and bus parking is an issue. Break not needed as snacks weren’t available.
  • Leave out panel at end – just let kids discuss.
  • Leave out First Aid section
  • Price of food was expensive
  • Do more with Year 10 students
  • Post event teacher & student survey on RAC website.
Pic Fresh – Louise Fitzpatrick – fresh food packs for individuals at Country Week - food packs can be made to order at various prices for schools. Gave out contact details and brought samples.
Chevron City to Surf –Amanda Willisgave information about theCity to Surf travelling event is to Karratha, Geraldton, Albany & Busselton 12k and 4 k run & walk. / SSWA to survey CW schools then contact Wayne Houden.

Viability of Sports /
  • Lower numbers in Sports e.g. Touch & Dance – will they be viable in the future? Half Cohort year may be the reason for smaller numbers in 2014
  • Dance – down to 50 participants – huge cost for a small group of students
Half cohort may be be the issue this year.
2013 feedback didn’t have competitive performance aspect
SPORT REPORTS
AFL
  • length of games needs to be looked at
SOCCER
  • red card – Coordinator to meet with player and coach –it should be written in to rules. 3 even teams on points go to goal difference across 3 teams in contention not all other teams.
  • Line for another game that is not yours?
Hockey
  • alternate strips. Nominate team colours.
Netball
  • move to new venue in 2015
S&D
  • lose voice – will allow a legitimate substitute and points do count
Volleyball
  • maximum 2 games in 2014. Write into bylaws for the future.
Points against should be counted in future. / Offer the same sports in 2015

Closing ceremony details /
  • Seating map is in the Officials handbook.
  • Starting at 1pm with the winning dance school performing at 12.45pm
  • Runners up and winners will be announced with only the winners to come and get trophies. There will be a pause between announcements
  • Apologies from schools who have to leave early

Transport /
  • No issues

Team Sheets /
  • Discussion of how they should work if continue the practice
/ A bona fides list of students named in each team for the week. Columns to tick off students who play in each game.
Sport Reports / Netball
  • Coordinator should not umpire but get a volunteer from a school
  • If at Mathews again – play on every second court to allow for spectators
  • More food needed at netball at peak times e.g. after Opening Ceremony

Soccer
  • incorporate AFL Red Card rule into soccer rules .
  • Linesmen should not do duty for their own school – do it at the same time but on a different pitch
  • In the event of more than 2 teams ending on the same # of points ignore the previous clash and go to goal difference

Volleyball –
  • A Grade to be fixtured on Arena 1, all other grades to move between Arena 1 and Arena 2
  • Use the clock in Arena 1
  • Scoring – first 2 sets to 21 with advantage but capped at 25
  • As played in 2014 – all winning scores area maximum of 2 games
  • Qualifying points will go in order: total points, set %age, point %

Hockey – alternate strips are needed as many schools have the same coloured tops. / SSWA to provide orange vests
Girls AFL – halves to be 2 x 20 mins Moved Bunbury/Seconded NM
Max 15 / side competition. With 4 on bench. 12 is minimum. Play to team who can field lowest number.
The meeting agreed that participation is key – it will be allowed that teams can play the whole bench in Grand Final.
Girls AFL to be centrally timed or by the umpire / Amend the Rules
