FAPEL will meet on January 23rd for our Annual Spring Meeting in Tallahassee. This will be followed by a joint meeting with FACTE on Tuesday the 24th and the Day on the Hill Wednesday the 25th.

The Monday, January 23rd meeting promises to be an important and relevant one given the fast-paced changes taking place in educational leadership in Florida. All meetings on Monday will take place at the FLDOE, Turlington Building, 325 W. Gaines St., Tallahassee, Florida. There is no charge for the workshop, and registration for our meeting is $15.00 for all FAPEL members (lunch included). Please RSVP your attendance by replying to this email. (meal provided) / Phil Canto, Bureau Chief, Postsecondary Assessment / Presentation and Discussion of the FELE Competencies and Skills Development and other related items.
1:00 to 3:00 / FAPEL Business Meeting / FAPEL Policy Liaison Committee, Board of Directors / Committee Presentation for “Day on the Hill”, FAPEL Business Meeting
3:00 to 5:00 / FLDOE Representatives Meeting with Members / Kathryn Hebda, Deputy Chancellor for Educator Quality and Staff / Presentations, Discussions, Updates and Information on Items Affecting Educational Leadership Programs
*Results Analyzer is a data delivery and research tool that will be provided by the FTCE/FELE contractor, Pearson, to Florida colleges and universities in 2012. Results Analyzer will allow programs to do the following:
·  Access multiple years of test and registration data
·  Aggregate data over time
·  Filter data by program year, test, demographic information, and examinee responses to background questions
·  View, download/export data, and print reports
·  Run pass rate analyses and retake analyses
·  Create customized reports
·  Analyze and compare data to statewide results
Spaces are limited to 20. FAPEL MEMBERS: Please respond to Phil Canto at to reserve a slot in this workshop. Once attendees are identified, the Department will send out further logistic information (security, parking, etc.) directly to confirmed attendees.

On Tuesday, January 24th FAPEL members will meet with FACTE colleagues for the Day on the Hill meeting in Tallahassee. Significant time during the meeting on the 24th will be devoted to informing and preparing for the Day on the Hill visits on the 25th. FAPEL members must register for this separately. Information on registration and accommodations will be available soon on the FACTE web site (www.facte.info). There will be a brief FAPEL meeting immediately after the FACTE meetings in an adjacent room TBA on the 24th to review, summarize, and further prepare for our visits with legislative and DOE representatives - along with your colleagues and Dean if he or she is participating - on the 25th.
