CELEBRATE REEBOK CLASSICS IN STYLE

Reebok releases preview imagery from its SS13 Classics lookbook, featuring the brand’s most iconic styles as well as modern updates and twists on classic product.

For Spring Summer 2013, Reebok Classics will continue to drive the brand's rich heritage, focusing on its iconic Franchise 5 models, with Classic Leather as the hero. The season also sees the return of some of the best retro silhouettes, which capture the essence of Classics, including the GL6000.

Always Classics

Having celebrated the anniversaries of two iconic Reebok silhouettes in 2012, this Spring Summer 2013 sees Reebok Classics continue its focus on the brand’s heritage and iconic styles with a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Classic Leather.

Introduced in 1983, the Classic Leather was designed for style-conscious men and women who wanted a casual running shoe that was both functional and fashionable. Released a decade before running shoes became overly technical, it is the simplicity of the Classic Leather that makes it timeless and a wardrobe staple. The silhouette is available in a number of color and material stories. For SS13, the hero material stories are Varsity, Denim and Heritage.

Reebok’s best known shoe, the Freestyle Hi, as well as the GL6000, are also presented in the SS13 Always Classics collection. Available in all in a number of material packs, the Freestyle Hi made its debut in 1982 and it was the first aerobic shoe to combine support, stability and high-fashion. The GL6000 is specifically designed for the serious runner, providing both lightweight and durable cushioning. A forefoot sway bar adds stability to the shoe and a midfoot flex wave emphasizes a runner’s strike point.

Affili’Art

This season, Reebok continues its Reebok Classics Affili’Art collection – Reebok x Basquiat, curated by Swizz Beatz.

Focused on paintings from artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, the collection offers bold patterns, pop graphics and logos across the footwear and apparel packs. In SS13, Reebok is introducing a full apparel collection, plus historical Reebok footwear models such as the Pump Omni Lite, Classic Leather and Freestyle Hi.

The Spring Summer 2013 Reebok Classics collection will be available in stores and online at www.reebok.com from 1 January, 2013.
