General Information
Membership in ARCC, Inc. is open to all individual and group repeater owners and operators, including new coordination applicants. Amateurs who own or operate a repeater that is not sponsored by a club or organization are considered individual members. Clubs or organizations comprised of more than one member are considered group members. Membership is also open to any interested party who supports frequency coordination, even if they are not a repeater owner or directly affiliated with a club that sponsors a repeater.
Membership in ARCC is not required in order to apply for coordination. ARCC does not charge a fee for processing repeater and auxiliary link coordination applications. Whether or not the applicant is a member of ARCC has no effect on the processing of coordination applications in any way.
Membership dues are used to defray the costs of operating the organization, including such expenses as postage, duplication, office supplies, and travel. Since ARCC does not charge a fee for processing coordinations, the organization’s entire operating budget is funded by membership dues. As such, we encourage all who utilize our services to consider becoming a member. Members in ARCC are eligible to nominate and vote for ARCC Executive Board officers. Members also receive the ARCC Newsletter and other benefits.
Membership Classes
There are three membership classes. Each membership class has an annual dues amount that is proportional to the size of the organization. Clubs and other organizations may join ARCC as a “group” rather than having individual members join ARCC, although individual members may still join ARCC independently if so desired. Each membership class carries with it proportional voting rights.
