Online Tutoring Instructions Using Skype

E-tutoring offers an asynchronous session with your tutor. This means that your tutor will read your work during the session, and will respond to you in a letter format. You do not need to be present for the session, but be sure to tell your tutor what feedback you’d like!
How to schedule an E-Tutoring session using WCOnline· Visit our scheduler at uncc.mywconline.com.
· Register in the system (new client) or login (returning client). /
· Select a WRC location from the pull-down menu. /
· Look for a tutor’s name who is designated for e-tutoring tutoring (appears in greyscale beneath the name). /
· Click on an available (white) appointment slot. /
· Complete the Appointment Form (opens in a new window). /
· Ensure that you have selected the “Yes – Schedule eTutoring Appointment.” /
· In the “What writing are you bringing to discuss” box, give your tutor as much information as you can about the feedback that you would like. This is the only time you will be able to share your questions with your tutor, so be as detailed as possible. /
· Click “Save Appointment.” /
· Once you have saved the appointment, you will see the option to attach a file. Click to attach the file.
· Note: If the appointment has been made for you, and you do not see this first window, click the yellow file folder on the main toolbar on the scheduler. This will take you to the same place. / Typical:

· You will see your appointment date, time, and tutor in the “Appointment Box.” Click the “Choose File” button below to search your computer for the file you’d like to attach.
· Note: Due to compatibility, we are only able to accept .doc, .docx, or .pdf files. If your file is in another format, please export that file as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf. For instructions, see the end of this tutorial. /

· At the time of your appointment, your tutor will download your file and begin responding to it. If the tutor has trouble opening the file, you will receive an email from that tutor from .
· Once the appointment time is through, you will receive an email with the Client Report Form, which gives you information about the appointment and also instructions for receiving your feedback. These instructions should say, “Sign in to your account at uncc.mywconline.com and click on this appointment time to see the attached document.”
· Return to your appointment time and scroll down to the end of the form. You should see your original document, and the new document that your tutor has uploaded, which will contain the feedback. Click on that document to download it and view your feedback. If you have trouble opening the document, please email to let us know.
