Description: The JAN Academy will offer participants the opportunity to learn from JAN’s experience as the leading source of expert and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. The JAN Academy is designed for professionals who are either new to the field of disability and employment or who desire to refresh their knowledge about reasonable accommodation issues and the interactive process. By actively engaging participants in a three-part training session that will chart the course of employing individuals with disabilities, the JAN Academy will enable participants to: learn about disability etiquette; successfully navigate the hiring process, including on-boarding; recognize and respond to accommodation requests and engage in the interactive process; understand the fundamental legal requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA); and walk-away with practical disability employment strategies for advancing beyond compliance and towards a more competitive advantage. Participants will receive HRCI CEU Credits and Certificate of Completion.
After participating in the JAN Academy, attendees will be able to:
  1. Apply etiquette strategies that foster inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace
