Proposal for Offley & Stopsley CC to be linked with Stopsley High School
This was seen as an exciting opportunity for the club and the motion was carried.
- Flyers to be created for publication around the school
- OSCC to fund a cricket bag from Lord Taverns as part of union
Match / Membership Fees – Payment and Cost
The motion was carried to increase adult membership to £50. We are happy to accept this in instalments. We are a small club, and membership is really important to ensure the running of the club. Prompt payment would be appreciated as start of season costs are significant.
Club fees in 2012 will therefore be the following:
Fee Type / Cost (£)Adult Membership / £50
Junior Membership / £15
Adult Match Fee / £7
Student / Unemployed Match Fee / £5
Junior Match Fee / £4
Support of Junior Cricket at Offley
There is a hope this will improve with the links we have now chosen to take up with Stopsley High School.
Any help with the juniors would be appreciated, even if occasional, for details please contact Darren Lunney (07765577879).
Club House Netting
The recreational club would fund new netting for in front of the club house, in the interim we would look at using the existing net cage at the start of the season.
Summer Tour
Mark Tattersall has been placed in charge of the summer tour, details shall follow. Dates are expected to be 27.08.2012 to 31.08.2012, confirmation will follow upon details been finalised.
Smoking Area
Motion carried to implements a smoking ban within the pavilion seating area.
Ashes Tour 2013/2014
This was a little too far in advance.
Pavilion Maintenance Manager
No individuals put themselves forward for this position, and therefore it shall be included into the agenda of the committee meeting for further discussion.
Pavilion Improvements
Both items from the agenda were felt best to be discussed further at the next committee meeting.
Winter Nets
It was agreed we should aim to make arrangements for winter nets
Colin Williams to investigate winter net possibilities at Denbigh High, Iknield High School and Challney High School, Gregg Swain to look at Luton Sixth Form and Darren Lunney to make enquiries at Redbourne.
Ideal times would be a weeknight between 19.00-21.00.
Indoor winter nets are unavailable, there was no suitable location available for hire. Therefore weather permitting outdoor nets as Offley Cricket Club will begin on 29th March 2012.
Groundwork
Steve Bexfield to remain head groundsman. Andy Van Hoof volunteered help in ground maintenance and preparation; any further assistance would be appreciated.
Please remember to turn up at least 30-45 minutes before the match is due to begin on match day so you are able to help with nets, ropes, sight screens etc.

Sorry guys no pool table or magazine subscriptions.
Offley and Stopsley Kit
There were no individuals that immediately felt that a OSCC new kit order was required.
