From Westchester County and Southern Connecticut: Take I-95 to Route 287 West, go over the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 13N onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) heading North. Take the PIP to the end, follow signs to Bear Mountain/West Point. Proceed to the Bear Mountain traffic circle. Follow signs for Route 9W North/West Point (3rd exit off circle). Take the West Point/Highland Falls exit. Follow signs towards the visitor’s center until reaching Thayer Gate (South Gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right.

From Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties:Northern Westchester - Take Route 9 to Route 6 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) towards the Bear Mountain Bridge. Putnam County - To cross west from Route 9 to 9D the shortest is to take County 11 to 9D at Garrison or if you miss that turn you can take State Road 403 farther south. Over the bridge, bear to the right and follow signs to Route 9W North (1st exit off bridge). Take the West Point/Highland Falls exit. Follow signs towards the Visitors Center until reaching Thayer Gate (South Gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right.

From New York City: Take the George Washington Bridge (upper deck) to the Palisades Parkway North. Take the PIP to the end, follow signs to Bear Mountain/West Point.
