I. Call to Order/Roll Call
John C. Thompson called the meeting to order at 6:50pm. Present: Maggie Cope, Nick Whitaker, Rick Ezell, John C. Thompson, Eric Park
II. Minutes of Regular Meeting
Minutes of the regular held on April 19 were presented. ERIC PARK MOTIONED TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES AS PRESENTED, SECON BY MAGGIE COPE, ALL VOTED AYE.
III. Financials
April financial statements were presented. Revenue was down due to P2A backing out of two major tournaments revenue. Expenses were up with the purchase of a Gator and a Bunker Field Rake.NICK WHITAKER MOTIONED TO ACCEPT FINANCIALS AS PRESENTED, SECOND BY RICK EZELL, ALL VOTED AYE.
IV. Programs
Youth Volleyball will finish next week. Baseball rain-out has been pushed to June 10th.Adult Flag Football registration ends next week. Softball rainouts will be made up. Youth Flag Football hosted their end of the season tournament. The season went well with 390 players, 42 teams, and 90 coaches. Youth tackle football will be acquiring sponsorship for player’s benches. BMX races once last month. The restrooms are complete and we are waiting on the ADA sidewalk.
V. Old Business
Travis Young was selected as the new General Director. Fifty application were received with ten meeting qualifications.
VI. New Construction Update
Baseball and Football Complex is 99% complete. Softball completion is two weeks away. The Community Center is 25% complete with the safe room being 60% complete. Leaking outdoor showers at the Aquatic Complex will be repaired by the grand opening date. Landscaping has been completed around the complex. The State Highway Department is being proactive concerning a stop light at the new complex. The sign placed on Odom’s property is not connected with the Cabot Sports and Aquatic Complex. Mr. Crow stated that on July 30th 1200 baseball players will participate in a tournament at the Sports Complex.
VII. Executive Session
NICK WHITAKER MOTIONED TO ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 7:55PM FOR AN EXIT INTERVIEW WITH JOHN CROW, SECOND BY ERIC PARK, ALL VOTED AYE. Ken Kincade arrived at 8:00pm. NICK WHITAKER MOTIONED TO EXIT THE EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 8:43PM, SECOND BY ERIC PARK, ALL VOTED AYE.
