All welcome to Year 2’s assembly (Mrs Gow) on Friday at 2.45 pm
Hello everyone
A massive thank you to Mr & Mrs Midgley and all of their helpers who have been working so hard over the last weeks and days to improve our playground and garden areas. Everyone has made such lovely comments about how much better it looks and their hard work is very much appreciated. The children continue to work with us as we plan to improve this area further.
Sports day will be tomorrow and Miss Cotter has been busy planning and organising everything in preparation for the day. Lots of hard work goes into arranging this event and I hope you will be able to join us to watch the activities take place.
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us at the PTFA meeting last week where lots of ideas were discussed for the forthcoming year. The Annual General Meeting will take place in school on 30th September at 7pm - please put it into your diary and join us if you can.
Lots of fun at Cuerden Valley Park for Year 6 last week and exciting preparations for ‘A Letter to the Trenches’ continue and the singing sounds fantastic already. In Year 5 they continue to be busy with their play script work linked to Shakespeare, while in Year 4 there are lots of habitat projects starting to come in and I am looking forward to seeing their posters on display. Year 3 have been busy creating mosaics in Art and they are looking truly wonderful. In Year 2, Year 1 and Reception there have been lots of activities linked to a ‘mysterious’ egg which appeared on the school field. Their imaginations have certainly been working hard this week.
As the weather has become a bit warmer it has been lovely to see children wearing shorts and dresses. Please send in named/hats and sun cream for your child to wear when outside if you can.
Many thanks for you continued support.
Kind regards
Linda Clayton
