THE DAVID AND MARILYN KRUPNICK FOUNDATION, INC.

Re: Solicitation for Grant Proposal

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am contacting you as Co-Trustee of the above private foundation, a 501(c) (3) charitable organization which is continuing its efforts to fulfill the mission statement of the Foundation by providing grants to worthy charitable organizations which most closely match the intentions of its founder’s, the late David and Marilyn Krupnick. It is the purpose of this letter to explain our goals and the requirements if your organization should choose to provide a grant request.

The main purpose of the Foundation is to fund the furtherance of charitable or educational organizations that provide direct benefits to children and families in need of medical care and treatment, assistance in educational and artistic advancement, and furthering social interaction. While preference is to be accorded to organizations which provide benefits to those in the Delaware Valley area it is not a requirement for a grant. The Foundation would also prefer to make grants which relate to a specific project or event of the charity, however, again this is not a requirement. The aim of the Foundation, while quite general, is intended to make possible a program, event, or gift which will provide the most direct benefit to the charity’s intended beneficiaries.

The Foundation welcomes a grant request for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018, which should address the following areas of consideration:

  1. A description of the project or event and the specific purposes your organization intents to benefit thereby or, if the proposal is to affect a more general class of charitable beneficiaries, then provide a description of the intended class.
  1. An indication of the timing of the project or event including what calendar or fiscal period(s) it is expected to encompass.
  1. The amount requested in the grant and the means by which the monies will be spent and the internal or independent means of verifying the application of the funds.
  1. If you have not supplied it previously, please include a copy of your IRS exemption letter, certified by the organization’s executive officer that it is current has not been revoked.
  1. Please provide your most recent audited financial statement that reflects the percentage of contributions which are utilized to pay administrative expenses of the organization and the net amount passing to the charity’s beneficiaries.

I look forward to hearing from your organization and solicit any questions you have regarding this letter and will meet with the other trustees to provide you with a response. All grant requests must be received by March 31, 2018.

By the way, I and my local co-trustee, Michael Bass, would be happy to meet you at your facility for a tour and more information. If you would like us to do so, let us know what dates and times in the next month would be available.

Very truly,

THE DAVID AND MARILYN KRUPNICK FOUNDATION, INC.
