Organizational Aid Appropriations for the Amazing Tones of Joy, Kentucky Association of Nursing Students, Omega Phi Alpha, Rho Chapter, Western Kentucky University Ad Federation, Western Kentucky University College Republicans, Western Kentucky Collegiate Future Farmers of America, Western Kentucky University Habitat for Humanity, Western Kentucky University Geology Club, Sigma Alpha Epsilon- Kentucky Beta, Western Kentucky University Fencing Team, Pi Mu Epsilon Fraternity, and Sigma Nu Fraternity

PURPOSE: For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to allocate $5,750.00 from the Organization Aid fund to the Amazing Tones of Joy, Kentucky Association of Nursing Students, Omega Phi Alpha, Rho Chapter, Western Kentucky University Ad Federation, Western Kentucky University College Republicans, Western Kentucky Collegiate Future Farmers of America, Western Kentucky University Habitat for Humanity, Western Kentucky University Geology Club, Sigma Alpha Epsilon- Kentucky Beta fraternity, Western Kentucky University Fencing Team, Pi Mu Epsilon Fraternity, and Sigma Nu Fraternity

WHEREAS: Organizational Aid is a beneficial service to the Student Organizations of Western Kentucky University, and

WHEREAS: The allocated funds will support specific student events on Western Kentucky University’s main and regional campuses, and

WHEREAS: The Amazing Tones of Joy has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in procuring venues and materials associated with two concerts that will generate funds for non-profit organization that trains assistance animals for children with special needs, and

WHEREAS: The Kentucky Association of Nursing Students has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in subsidizing costs incurred while attending the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students State Convention in Scottsville, Kentucky and to the National Student Nurses Association Convention in Orlando, Florida, and

WHEREAS: The Omega Phi Alpha, Rho Chapter has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in procuring materials for the “Eat So They Can Eat” annual event that invites students to participate a dinner party benefitting the Global Children’s Fund in an attempt to fight child poverty, and

WHEREAS: The Western Kentucky University Ad Federation has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for costs incurred while traveling to New York City to tour advertising agencies, television studios and magazine agencies in an attempt to gain practical experience, and

WHEREAS: The Western Kentucky University College Republicans has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in procuring a venue at the Carol Knicely Center, food and catering costs associated with hosting several state and local legislators as part of their fiftieth year celebrations, and

WHEREAS: The Western Kentucky University Future Farmers of America has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in procuring materials associated with hosting the WKU FFA Field Day event that hosts over 1,500 high school students from three states in a variety of events associated with agriculture, and

WHEREAS: The Western Kentucky University Habitat for Humanity has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for subsidizing costs incurred while traveling to building events across the South Eastern United States, and

WHEREAS: The Western Kentucky University Geology Club has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in traveling to Chattanooga, TN to see sedimentary and metamorphic rock structures, and

WHEREAS: The Sigma Alpha Epsilon-Kentucky Beta fraternity has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in obtaining materials associated with a two day philanthropic event benefitting the Kelly Autism Program, and

WHEREAS: The Western Kentucky University Fencing Club has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in obtaining protective equipment for members limited to fencing jackets designed specifically for women, and

WHEREAS: The Pi Mu Epsilon fraternity has been recommended an allocation of $250.00 for succor in obtaining materials associated with hosting events to increase membership through recruitment, and

WHEREAS: The Sigma Nu fraternity has been recommended an allocation of $500.00 for succor in subsidizing costs associated with traveling to their national headquarters in Lexington, VA for the initiation and education of new members, and

THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University allocate the needed funds of $5,750.00 to Western Kentucky University student organizations.
