SIGNIFICANT EVENTS

11/1 500 Block of San Bruno Ave. Arson

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of San Bruno Ave. on a report of a fire. Unknown suspect(s) set fire in a bathroom. The sink and wall were damaged. The cost of the damage is unknown. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1101-0001.

11/1 400 Block of Visitacion Ave. Accessory to a crime

Officers were dispatched to assist a bails bondsman in taking a suspect into custody. The wife of the suspect lied to police about the whereabouts of her husband who had an active warrant for his arrest. The husband was eventually located and arrested. Case submitted to the DA’s office. Report # 12-1101-0002.

11/1 400 Block of Visitacion Ave. Violation of restraining order

In relation to the above case, the arrested suspect (husband) violated a restraining order by seeing his wife. The suspect was served and is aware of the terms and willfully violated the order. Case submitted to the district attorney’s office. Report # 12-1101-0003.

11/2 300 Block of Alvarado St. Suicidal subject

Officers were dispatched to check on the welfare of a subject who was depressed and crying. Subject stated he wanted to kill himself with a knife. He was placed on a psychiatric hold as he posed a danger to himself. Case closed. Report # 12-1102-0001.

11/2 Bayshore Blvd./Main St. Warrant Arrest

An officer conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The driver was contacted and had a warrant. The driver was cited/released for an out-of-county warrant. Report # 12-1102-0002.

11/3 300 Block of Valley Dr. Petty Theft

Brisbane PD Officers were conducting patrol checks when an officer noticed a package that was left in the parking lot of a business. The officers believed it was taken from a neighboring business. The officers checked the business and discovered someone had taken items from an unlocked truck. Initial investigation indicates property is valued at less than $950. Investigation ongoing. 11/6 8000 Block of Marina Blvd. Vehicle Burglary

A security guard at the business called police regarding a vehicle burglary. An unknown suspect(s) ripped through the convertible top of a locked vehicle. The suspect(s) entered the vehicle. It is unknown if anything was taken. The owner was unavailable for contact to determine the loss. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1106-0001.

11/6 Unit block of Visitacion Ave. Found Property

A citizen located two rings. The rings were turned over to police as found property. Report # 12-1106-0002.

11/8 400 Block of Valley Dr. Vehicle Burglary

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Valley Dr. on a report of a vehicle burglary. Between 11/7-11/8, unknown suspect(s) entered two locked vehicles and stole miscellaneous food items. The total loss is undetermined. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1108-0001.

11/9 100 Block of Park Ln. Discharge of BB Pellet

It was reported to officers that sometime between 11/8-11/9, unknown suspect(s) discharged a BB Pellet into a building causing damage to a window. The cost of the damage is unknown. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1109-0001.

11/9 300 Block of Valley Dr. Vandalism – Property Damage

It was reported to officers that between 11/8-11/9, unknown suspect(s) damaged a window to the business using an unknown object. The cost of the damage is unknown. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1109-0002.

11/9 600 Block of Sierra Point Vehicle tampering

A citizen reported to police that sometime between 11/8-11/9, unknown suspect(s) took the victim’s registration tabs from the victim’s vehicle. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1109-0003.

11/9 Unit block of Inyo St. Petty Theft

A citizen reported to police that sometime between 10/30-10/13, unknown suspect(s) entered an unsecured vehicle and took miscellaneous items valued under $950. An anonymous citizen also provided information on possible suspect(s) responsible for the theft. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1109-0004.

11/10 10 Block of Lake St. Domestic Battery

Officers were dispatched to a report of cold domestic violence incident. The husband and wife had an argument over infidelity issues. The wife scratched the victim causing a break in the skin, leaving visible marks. The wife was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 12-1110-0001.


11/11 Unit block of San Bruno Ave. Auto burglary

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/10-11/11, unknown suspect(s) gained access into a locked vehicle. The suspect(s) rummaged through the vehicle. There is no known loss at this time. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1111-0001.

11/13 100 Block of San Benito Rd. Grand theft

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/12-11/13, unknown suspect(s) took a catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle (Toyota T100). The item is valued at $1000. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1113-0001.

11/13 600 Block of San Bruno Ave. Theft of license plates

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/12-11/13, unknown suspect(s) took the rear license plate from the victim’s vehicle. The license plate information was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1113-0002.

11/13 600 Block of Sierra Point Rd. Grand theft

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/12-11/13, unknown suspect(s) took a catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle. The item is valued at $1,000. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1113-0003.

11/13 400 block of Sierra Point Pkwy. Vehicle burglary

The victim called police to report that sometime between 1300-1400 hours, unknown suspect(s) broke into a secured vehicle by smashing the driver’s side window. The suspect(s) took a messenger bag containing miscellaneous items. Case suspended further leads. Report # 12-1113-0004.

11/14 200 Block of Monterey St. Theft

The victim called police to report that unknown suspect(s) took the victim’s license plate. The license plate was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1114-0001.

11/14 Mariposa St./Solano St. Non-Injury accident

Officers were dispatched to a non-injury traffic accident. The driver backed his vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side mirror. Case documented. Report # 12-1114-0002.

11/15 3700 Block of Bayshore Blvd. Grand theft

Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Bayshore Blvd. on a report of theft. Between 11/14-11/15, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked trailer and removed an unknown number of items which included 4 liter bottles of Methanol and acetone. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1115-0001.

11/16 3800 Block of Bayshore Blvd. APS Referral

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance. The suspect has been residing with the reporting party for over a year who is also a senior citizen. The reporting party has requested the suspect to move out, but she has refused to. The reporting party was requesting assistance and is being referred to Adult Protective Services. Case forwarded to APS. Report # 12-1116-0001.

11/16 400 Block of Visitacion Ave. Battery on an officer & delay/obstruct officer

Two Brisbane Officers made contact with a subject carrying around a skull. Several citizens reported seeing the subject with the skull. The subject was familiar to officers and is also on probation. When the subject was about to be searched by the officers, he fought with the officers causing minor injuries to both officers. The subject was tased and taken into custody. He was booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 12-1116-0002.

11/16 400 Block of Visitacion Ave. Unlawful possession of human remains

In relation to the above incident, the skull was taken as evidence and turned over to the coroner’s office. Preliminary investigation indicates it is a human skull. The suspect would not disclose how and where he came into possession of the skull. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1116-0003

11/18 100 Block of Mendocino St. Interfere with utility lines

The victim reported to police that the landlord turned off the power to his residence. The landlord, however, indicated the tenant falsely put the electrical bill in the landlord’s name without his permission. Both parties are presently in a civil dispute over the matter. Case forwarded to District Attorney’s Office for review. Report # 12-1118-0001

11/18 400 Block of San Bruno Ave. Petty Theft

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/17-11/18, unknown suspect(s) stole the rear license plate off of the victim’s vehicle. The license plate was entered into the stolen vehicle system. Case suspended pending further leads. Report. # 12-1118-0002.

11/19 100 Block of N. Hill Dr. Vandalism – Property Damage

Officers were dispatched to an alarm call. When officers arrived, they discovered unknown suspect(s) shot a BB pellet or similar projectile through the window of a business. Damaged is estimated to be approximately $400. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1119-0001.

11/19 100 Block of Park Ln. Commercial Burglary

The victim called police to report that unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the business and stole approximately $13,000 worth of miscellaneous computer and camera equipment. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1119-0002.

11/19 100 Block of Park Ln. Vandalism – Property Damage

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/17-11/19, unknown suspect(s) shot a BB pellet or similar projectile through the window of a business. Damaged is estimated to be over $400. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1119-0003.

11/20 Unit block of Solano St. Commercial Burglary

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/17-11/18, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the property. Upon entry, the suspect(s) damaged some property at the premises and took a laser machine. Damage is estimated to be approximately $780. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1120-0001

11/22 100 Block of Cliff Swallow Ct. CPS Referral

Brisbane PD received a CPS referral report for investigation of suspected emotional and physical abuse of a child. The case was investigated and determined to be unsubstantiated. Case taken as an informational report only. Report # 12-1122-0001.

11/24 Unit block of Thomas Ave. Stolen vehicle

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/23-11/24, unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s Acura Integra. The vehicle was entered into the stolen vehicle system. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1124-0001.

11/25 700 block of Swallow Tail Ct. Vehicle Burglary

The victim called police to report that sometime between 11/23-11/25, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s locked vehicle. Upon entry, the suspect(s) damaged the locking mechanism to the glove box. It does not appear anything was taken. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1125-0002.

11/25 400 block of Visitacion Ave. Barking dog complaint

A citizen called police to complaint about a barking dog. The owner of the dog was issued an administrative citation because of habitual barking. There have been 8 calls to this location since February 2012. Report # 12-1125-0003.

11/26 400 block of Visitacion Ave. Violation of restraining order

Officers were dispatched to welfare check the resident who has been a victim of domestic violence in the past. It was discovered the husband of the victim was released from jail and returned to the residence in direct violation of a court order. The husband left the house before police arrived. However, the victim did not notify the police at the time. Police were notified via a 3rd party. Case submitted to the District Attorneys’ Office. Report # 12-1126-0002.


11/27 100 block of Cliff Swallow Ct. CPS Referral

CPS faxed over a case to the Brisbane Police Department for further investigation. An investigation was conducted and determined the complaint to be unfounded. Case was closed. Report # 12-1122-0001.

11/27 400 block of Marina Blvd. Vehicle Burglary

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Marina Blvd. on a report of a vehicle burglary. Between 1730-1900 hours, unknown suspect(s) smashed the front driver’s side window of the victim’s locked vehicle. The suspect(s) then took a bag containing a laptop, iPad, and other miscellaneous computer equipment. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1127-0002

11/28 Undetermined location Credit card fraud

The victim called police to report that someone used her credit card without her authorization to Groupon. There is no information as to where the charge took place. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1128-0002.

11/29 400 block of Kings Rd. Adult Protective Services Referral

A concerned citizen brought an elderly male to the Brisbane Police department after he wandered from his residence and could not remember where he lived. The subject did not know his address. He was brought to the Brisbane Police Department and it was determined where he lived. The subject does have caregiver who was out of town. The subject was brought back home where a neighbor would watch over him. A referral was made to Adult Protective Services for evaluation and assistance. Report # 12-1129-0001.

11/30 100 block of Monterey St. Stolen vehicle

The victim came to the police department to report that sometime between 11/27-11/28, unknown suspect(s) took the victim’s rental vehicle without permission. The vehicle was also overdue to be returned. It is unknown who took the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. Report # 12-1130-0001.
