Evaluation Tools OVERVIEW

In the first year of your OCF P-3 project, you are being asked to work on a Community Needs & Resources Assessment (CNRA), and provide data on the outputs, outcomes, and process of implementation. You have been provided several tools that may assist you in this process, and several reports that will be submitted to OCF to document your progress, successes, challenges, and course-corrections. This document provides an overview of the OCF P-3 project evaluation tools and reports.

Worksheet 1: CNRA Planning Guide / Identify CNRA work group members, plan for CNRA process steps.
Worksheet 2: Selecting & Prioritizing CNRA Questions and Data Collection Strategies / Select and prioritize data collection strategies for each CNRA question.
Worksheet 3: Identifying Early Childhood & Other Programs in Your Community / Identify CNRA community services array and gaps.
Logic Model / Identify key activities planned through P-3 project, linked to expected outputs and outcomes. / This tool is informed by CNRA process.
This tool informs the Data Driven Work Plan.
Key Stakeholder Interviews / Provide key stakeholder identification and contact list to PSU. / These results inform the Data Driven Work Plan.
If grantees conduct additional interviews for the CNRA, this progress is reported in a required section on the Progress Report.
NOTE: PSU conducts interviews and provides summary to grantees by November 1st.
Indicators Worksheet / Report and track community- and school-level indicators to assist in CNRA, planning, and implementation efforts. / Grantees to submit to OCF

CNRA school- and community-level indicators, Parent/Caregiver Survey results, and Collaboration Survey results are reported in required sections.
Kindergarten Parent/Caregiver Survey / Administer and collect surveys about incoming kindergarteners and their families.
Enter data for surveys collected through schools involved in P-3 project by November 1st (more details forthcoming through Parent/Caregiver Survey webinars).
Report data in Indicators Worksheet. / Grantees report data in Indicators Worksheet / These results inform the Data Driven Work Plan.
Parent/Caregiver Survey results are reported in required sections of the Indicators Worksheet.
Collaboration Survey / Circulate electronic survey link with project stakeholders and encourage participation before September 30th survey close date (more details forthcoming in late Summer 2014).
