The title of today’s sermon is:

“The Beast, the Dragon and the Lamb”

Shall we pray …

Today, like last Sabbath, we are going to deal with a lot of scriptures and unless you’re very fast in turning in your Bible, I would suggest you write down the scripture references and then follow along with me on the screen.

Revelation 12:1 “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:” What does the woman represent? God’s church. Clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet. So celestial bodies are represented here and let’s see why. Genesis 1:14, 16:

Genesis 1:14 “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night;”

1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:” What else did God make that He calls light? He made you and I and He says in

Matthew 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” Where do we get this light that lights us?

Malachi 4:2 “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;” Who is this rising Sun of righteousness and what does He offer His people?

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus offers us truth and the life, but He says He is also the way. What is this way?

Psalm 77:13 “Thy way, O God, [is] in the sanctuary:” The Father God is telling God the Son that Thy way is in the (what?) sanctuary. What does the sanctuary have to do with the woman, God’s church of the end time? Daniel 8:13

Daniel 8:13 “Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall be] the vision [concerning] the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?” So Daniel hears the conversation of two angels with one asking, “How long is the vision concerning the daily (we know the daily is talking about pagan Rome), the word sacrifice was supplied and does not belong, and the transgression of desolation, (we know is speaking of the beast power, the Papacy) to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?”

The sanctuary and the host being trodden underfoot are the gospel and God’s people. This is describing an action happening on earth. Then in verse 14, the angel gives the answer in the longest time prophecy in the Bible as to a date when the sanctuary in heaven would be cleansed.

Daniel 8:14 “And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” This is a pre-eminent issue to God’s people here in the final generation and is one of our Biblical doctrines that is coming under an increasing fierce attack in our denomination. God’s remnant people, God’s church of the last days, will endure as we read in Psalm 89:36.

Psalm 89:36 “His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.” The Jesuitical attack on God’s church and the pillar doctrines is happening because of well placed infiltrated enemies of Seventh-day Adventism who have worked for many decades to topple God’s church. But who is the power behind this attack?

Revelation 12:17 “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” We know the dragon is Satan, Revelation 12:9 and he is enraged with the pure woman. Satan is working through the corrupt woman as we read in,

Revelation 14:8 “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” That fallen great city is Rome. It is fallen because it apostatized from the truth in the early centuries after Christ. But fallen with her are her daughters,

Revelation 17:5 “And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Literal Babylon disappeared from the scene long before Christ, but the Babylon here spoken is the corrupt religious-political power called Babylon the Great in the spiritual sense. What is it that she has done?

Jeremiah 51:7 “Babylon [hath been] a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.” The Mother church has all nations of the earth drunken with her wine which is her false doctrines, Sunday worship one of the primary doctrines. “… therefore the nations are mad.”

The Hebrew word rendered ‘mad’ is ‘halal’ which means ‘acts foolishly.’

Psalm 14:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God.” Modern Christianity has adopted lifestyles and worship styles that are far from the will of God. It’s more like a god of their own creating rather than the Almighty King of the Universe and the true worship He is due. When a person rejects the truth of God’s Sabbath, they are rejecting the Word of God Himself. So successful has Satan been working through his girlfriend in Rome.

Daniel 7:17 “These great beasts, which are four, [are] four kings, [which] shall arise out of the earth.”

Daniel 7:23 “The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, …” A beast in prophecy Is a king or kingdom.

Revelation 13:1 “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” Waters in prophecy represent large populated areas according to Revelation 17:15. So we have a kingdom rising out of a populated nation. It is a political power that blasphemes and has united church and state, and is none other than the Papacy.

Revelation 13:2 “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” Here we see that this beast is an amalgamation of several beasts, which means it has the inherited characteristics of the kingdoms that were before it. The leopard kingdom was pagan Greece, the bear kingdom was pagan Medo-Persia, and the lion kingdom was pagan Babylon. Let us look at the characteristics of Greece.

Acts 17:21 “(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)” The Greeks loved to philosophy. Paul tried to win souls to Christ on Mars Hill; but he was only their entertainment. They were also very superstitious. Rome deals in superstitious beliefs such as purgatory, limbo and apparitions of Mary. As the leopard kingdom, let us notice one particular characteristic of the leopard.

Jeremiah 5:6 “Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, [and] a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, [and] their backslidings are increased.”

The leopard watches or observes.

Hosea 13:7 “Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe [them]:”

The leopard preys on the young and the weak. He moves steadily forward, not taking his eyes off the target, sometimes crouching, but always positioning himself for the purpose, and when he is sure he attacks and accomplishes his objective.

The Papacy has always been the largest information gathering source in the world. Now through the CIA and the NSA with help from such public sources as Facebook, she is getting ready to make her move.

Revelation 13:14 “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;” In under 365 days, Pope Francis went from Cardinal Bergoglio in Argentina to a global rock star in lightning speed, causing the world to wonder after the beast. The ultimate target of the Papacy is the world, but first it must bring down the second beast, the U.S.A., which is the weak and young beast.

Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” The United States is depicted as a beast with two horns coming up out of the earth. Where the other beasts came up out of the sea, (populated areas) this second beast of Revelation 13 comes up out of the earth, which would indicate a sparsely populated area.

This beast has two horns. What do horns represent?

Habakkuk 3:4 “And [his] brightness was as the light; he had horns [coming] out of his hand: and there [was] the hiding of his power.”

Horns represent power. Civil and Religious as separate entities. “… two horns like a lamb, …” Christ-like. A Christian nation founded on Christian principles. Liberty and Freedom.

Galatians 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” The U.S. changes character from a lamblike to a dragon like beast. A nation speaks through legislating laws. The dragon is Satan.

Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, ...” The dragon is Satan.

Matthew 12:34 “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” The United States has a change in heart.

John 8:44 “Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” He was a murderer from the beginning – no truth in him! The Papacy has followed their leader as he murdered countless millions through the middle ages that would not be obedient to her traditions and requirements.

Ezekiel 28:14, 15 “Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” Iniquity was a mystery for no one in the entire universe had ever experienced feelings of rebellion against God’s authority.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:” Paul clearly warned that an apostate religious power was coming. There would always be the majority who serve the enemy, while a clear minority would serve the God of heaven. What is it that sets God’s people apart from the rebels?

On June 9th the rock star Pope did what US Secretary of State Kerry failed to do. He brought the Israeli and Palestinian leaders together to embrace. This is an important development as the Papacy is being viewed as a great moral religious leader. There will be but a few, a small remnant, who will not be deceived. Israeli President Simon Peres (left) and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud appear to be getting along just fine as they attended a prayer session at the Vatican at the invitation of Pope Francis.

“… and all the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3

Brothers and sisters greater things are coming to show and prove to us that we are coming ever so much closer to the door of the time of trouble.

John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” It is only the truth that can make you free, but the wine of Babylon is filled with untruth. But Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life!
