The NKGSL Board has implemented a new process to handle concerns by all affiliates of our League. Our goal as a league is to ensure that all issues/concerns brought to our attention are addressed in an appropriate manner.

PARENTS: The NKGSL league is dedicated to providing your children with a great learning experience. The goal of our League is to first and foremost; provide a fun atmosphere teaching the Fundamentals of Softball with a level of respect, sportsmanship and teamwork. In order to reach this goal there is a level of commitment necessary from members of the NKGSL Volunteer Staff. If you feel these guidelines are not being followed there are specific steps which need to be taken to ensure the concerns are addressed in an effective manner:

  1. Speak with the Manager should these concerns involve an occurrence on the field or during a game. It is important that you speak to the Manager and or Coach during a time when there are no children within the area. We ask that you also ensure this does not occur during practices or games as the setting is solely for the purpose of practice and game play.

We suggest reaching out to the Manager or Coach directly to let them know you would like to have a conversation with them and schedule a specific time.

  1. If you have discussed your concerns as noted above and feel the issues / concerns were not appropriately address you should notify the board in writing. Emails can be submitted to: or can be mailed to NKGSL at PO BOX 686 Quinton, VA 23141.

This email address will be seen by all board members and will be assigned to a specific member to address. This will be done based on the type of issue/concern and the position of the board member.

It must also be noted that while your issue/concern will be held in confidence (name not to be addressed) unless you are notified directly. You must understand that specific situations may allow an interpretation by the person associated with the complaint.

  1. Under no circumstances will a member of the board take a verbal issue/concern back to a board meeting for discussion based on a conversation. If an issue/concern is reviewed by the board each member is required to have knowledge of the details before we can discuss the situation. If communication is “verbally” provided, there is a chance that specific details may not be provided. These details may be necessary to address the situation appropriately.
  2. When the notification is received, the board will provide you with a response verifying receipt of your issue/concern. If additional steps are needed to address this concern you will be notified directly of a time line or expectation of the completion of the necessary steps. Please understand that each member of the NKGSL Board is a volunteer. The information will be addressed in the board meeting following receipt of the issue. If a timeline is provided please note these are items which require commitment of time from these volunteers. We will make every effort to address the concerns within a 30 day period.
  3. Once the situations is addressed, the board will compile a communication to be submitted directly to the complainant outlining the steps taken to address the situation.
  4. If after you have submitted this concern and received your Completion Notification from the NKGSL Board of Directors you feel you are continuing to experience the same issues/concerns you will be asked to a meeting with each board member to further discuss the issue.

Concerns within our league are a priority. We appreciate the commitments of our children, our Managers and Coaches, as well as the Parents. Without all three this could not be possible.
