Murphy Farm Fun Show Fun Class Descriptions:
Wheel Barrel Race: Teams of 2. #1 pushes wheel barrel to #2; #2 jumps in and they race to finish line.
Pleasure & Go As You Please: Western, Hunter, Gaited invited; will show together.
Pet Pony/Horse: Age 15 & under; up to 3 tricks. Caution & Safety are stressed.
Boot Race: NO HORSE; Boots are scattered; contestants race to find, put on and race to finish line.
Texas Barrels – Riders weave down & back between 3 barrels, cross finish line. Fastest times win.
Sack Race – NO HORSE. Teams of 2 put 1 each of their legs in a feed sack; race around obstacle; fastest times win.
Panty Race – Ride to end of arena, dismount. Adult Helper holds horse and assists youth in remounting; Put on Panty, remount and ride back across finish line.
Freestyle Pattern: Max: 4 min; you provide music; Required: 3 spins/360/pivots each direction, lead changes - right & left; 2 stops; Judged on: correctness of maneuvers, originality, presentation, costume.
VCA Goat Tying: For 12 & Under: the goat is lying down and someone is holding 3 legs together, 60 seconds; For 13 & above: goat will be on a rope; 30 second time limit.
NON-VCA Goat Tying: NO HORSE; Contestants on foot; the goat is lying down and someone is holding 3 legs together, 60 second limit. NOTE: 30 minute demo/instruction session during morning to be announced.
Rope the Dummy: NO HORSE: Calf head dummy stations; contestants have 3 minutes to ‘rope the head’ as many times as possible.
Rider Pickup: Team of 2; Fastest Time; Caution & Safety stressed!

DRESS CODE: ‘Horse Show Casual’, meaning short sleeves or sleeveless, with boots and HELMETS RECOMMENDED, but NO halter tops, spaghetti straps, open toed shoes, shorts.

The exhibitor agrees to indemnify the show and any sponsor against any claim or liability for damage by the exhibitor or animal. The exhibitor and/or representatives hereby agree to abide by all rules and decisions of the show including the entry system. Exhibitor and parent or guardian hereby attests that they have read the rules for this event including the code of conduct.
