A total of 32 hours of service work was done last week from 4 members

Board reports were submitted and are briefly:

GREG FALLON gave an update on Peta Higginbotham’s health.

GEOFF St CLAIR advised that the 2016 board has been finalized;Qld fundraising approval was close, still waiting on NSW. From next meeting ZOOM will be the meeting provider; Stubby coolers will be on sale for $8.00 each at Coffs harbor/Nambucca heads.

JOHN CLEMENTS asked Geoff to ask members could they assist with the making of 2 batons & a mailbox for the relay for life in Coffs Harbour may 2016

MEG FALLON advised that she has received a number of new member enquiries and is following them up, a caravan club that visited them in Murwillumbahhas shownan interest in our club and maybe some new members may come from them.

PHIL HUGHES gave the treasurer’s report listing expenditure and a closing balance of $2424.91 Admin account & $5195.28 in the service account.

CAMILLA BARKER advised that she had been speaking with Rotarians at a session on tech tools. They were impressed with our systems of operations as it appears that we are more Tech savey than other similar clubs.

Travel Talk:It was now time for Mary & Allan Hunter to give a travel talk on one of their many journeys that that they have done over the years.

They spoke of a trip that they took to Egypt with an associated Rotary club members in 2007. There were plenty of photos shown and Allan gave a detailed commentary (with the assistance from Mary when they weren’t kissing),of the trip, the highlights being many….During the talk Greg gave a 2 minute warning so then Allan spoke a bit less in detail and the slides sped up! WELL DONE AND CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH THANKS.

DOUG ST CLAIR then gave a surprisingly brief talk on how well our club is run and gave greetings from the district mob.

FRANCIS HARMAN was online tonight from USA where it was 4.00 am local time which was great as Greg had received from Sydney HQ a Paul Harris Fellow award for Francis in appreciation of his support to the Rotary Foundation.

ZOOM:Tonight’s meeting is the last weekly meeting using GoToMeeting. From 02/03/2016 ZOOM will be the new software and Geoff has sent out an email to all members showing how to download the zoom software to your computer…On Monday 29th Feb (yep it’s a leap year) Geoff will be online from 7.00 pm EST (usual meeting time – 7pm in Brisbane) in Zoom for anybody that wants to have a trial run prior to next weeks meeting….Meeting link is: .

JOKERS WILD. Louise Clements’s name came out so DStClair picked for her the 9 of clubs & Meg Fallon picked the 10 of diamonds so the jackpot of $259.00 has still not been won….It is rumoured that the Tait’s paddlepop stick aint in the bucket and I DEMAND an official enquiry!
