PPE Review–Gloves are not suitable. Would we be able to get the hyflex gloves instead of the Blue Rhino glove? Make sure that gloves are right fit and are in good repair. Updated PPE list to be given to Safety Reps?PS HSEQ Advisor advised Blue Rhino glovesareSodexo Remote Sites Company standard for use in food preparation in the galley (Knife use and glove policy 2014). On some Shell units, (Hyflex) gloves that are in stock from changeover of contract from ESS. Hyflex gloves be withdrawn from galley, and replaced by Blue Rhino gloves as supplied by SodexoKevlar Cut Resistant –Blue Rhino 14T4307-11. All Hyflex gloves to be transferred to accommodation as short term measure till stocks have been exhausted, and then revert to Sodexo supply gloves cut resistant – M/W Dotted Liner code 14T4707-10.
Safety Shoes- Concerns raised that the Trojan shoes are not fit for purposeand many people find them un comfortable (individual preference), can the company/ supply chain have a look at a better shoe?
PS – There are now 6 different type of shoe on the supplier list
Ladies – SRC Rated –6G9700
Trojan Lites 659 – SRC Rated – 665900
Chukka Boots – SRC Rated – 647600
Slip Resistant – Unisex – SRC Rated – 6K8800
Uvex 242 Wide Fit Shoe – SRC Rated – 624200

If none are suitable then you would require certification from a doctor or hospital to confirm that company standard safety shoesare not fit for purpose due to a medical condition. There are no exceptions to the rule other than for a medical condition. In all cases this must be discussed with Line Managers direct
Accidents and Incidents Review– All the statistics are on the safety website. Can the accident & incidents statistics be brought up on the agenda at every meeting for learning tool to discuss where we are going wrong and what needs to be highlighted?
Safety Rep Training– Will the company put the safety reps on an IOSH course, Accident & Investigation or Working Safely courses? This will benefit the reps and the company, to be discussed with Line Managers direct
The value of the courses will make us to be a better rep.
If reps require the Accident & Investigation course. They need to go through their line manager.

Chemicals –Over ordering and the amount of chemicals have potential in causing leakages, spillages and wastage.
This was brought up at the Environmental meeting and DS is looking to propagate a list.
What happens to the chemicals that are not used? Can these be distributed to other units?DS to liaise with Unit Managers and Operations Managers
