KUNDALINI YOGA DAILY TIPS
"What Yogi Bhajan Taught Us To Do Every Day"
It has been said it would take a student 72 hours to do what Yogi Bhajan said to do every day. Here are a dozen or more, shared as part of a class series at One Heart Yoga:
DAILY TIP:BREATHE!
- Breathe consciously - long & deep - every day;
- Stretch & flex your body before getting out of bed (ie a Wake Up Series)
- When the lights get turned on, gradually expose your eyes to the light by putting your palms over your eyes, looking at your palms while extending your hands out slowly (this protects your eyesight by allowing your optic nerve to gradually adjust to the light)
DAILY TIP: MEDITATE!
- Say 'Sat Nam' before you speak (it'll uplift the communication)
- Thank your body parts every morning
- Do a meditation every day
DAILY TIP: HYDROTHERAPY!
- Take an early morning cold shower every day (helps your nervous & glandular system)
DAILY TIP:STRETCH YOUR LIFE NERVE!
- Stretch your life nerve every day
DAILY TIP:JAPJI!
- Listen to (suniai) or recite Japji every day
DAILY TIP: SADHANA!
- Do sadhana (daily spiritual practice). It can be whatever you know will be easy enough for you to keep up (even just 10 minutes), then take that practice and do it for 40 days.
- YB shared three virtues of Sadhana: (1) When you have your own mind under your control, intuition will give you all the knowledge of the world (2) When you have control of your mind through your social and structural facets, you have the answer to everything (3) When you have control of your own mind, you can see the soul and God right within you
DAILY TIP:FOOD MATTERS!
- 2 glasses H20 when you get up in the morning every day;
- Sit in rock pose for digestion every day
DAILY TIP:FROG POSE!
- Do frog pose every day for good health

DAILY TIP:BALANCE YOUR NAVEL POINT!
- Start your day by doing a navel exercise (ie stretch pose) to balance your navel and manifest your goals
DAILY TIP:LAUGH!
- Be sure to laugh every day (Yogi Bhajan said, “Sweat and laugh each day, that's what keeps us healthy happy and whole!”)
DAILY TIP:SAT KRIYA!
- Sat Kriya (Yogi Bhajan said, "If you want to change the world, do Sat Kriya")
- Clean your "monkey glands" first thing in the morning
- Rinse your eyes with cold water first thing in the morning
