IMPROV 2018
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Your child has registered to be part of the French Improv team league for the RCSD. Students in grades 5 and 6 will form the Junior Team and the ones in grade 7 and 8 will form the Senior Team.
Registrations started on Thursday January 11th. The improvisation games are starting on Monday, January 15, 2018. Please see the back of this letter for the schedule. Transportation is being provided for your child from St. Mary to the hosting school. The parents are responsible for making arrangements to pick up their child after the games at 4:35 at the hosting school. The games will start as soon as the visiting school arrives at the hosting school, between 3:30 and 3:40 and will end at 4:30 or 4:40, depending on the time started. It is imperative that you are on time to pick up your child at the hosting school (check addresses prior to pick-up). If that is not possible, please arrange for another parent to pick them up.On the attached schedule, the host school is in bold print and the school addresses are provided as well.
The final tournament is on Friday February 9th (French Immersion Week) starting at 11:30 and ending around 3:00pm at Miller High School Theatre this year. (1027 College Ave) The students will be transported to and from the location by school bus.
All five French Immersion schools will compete against each other. We are proud to say that we won the big Improv Tournament in 2017. We are so excited to participate again this year and see if we can keep our title of Improv champions! We hope you can make it there as well to watch your child.
Everyone is welcome to come cheer us on for all the games and the tournament. We can’t wait to show you how well our French Immersion students can speak and act in French!
Thank you for your support! We really appreciate it!
