SALARY:$32,000-34,801

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a social services field or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience working with difficult people and/or high stress situations.
  3. Available to work flexible, rotating hours.
  4. Basic computer skills using common programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  5. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  6. Must pass a national criminal background check and Indiana Department of Child Services substantiated cases check.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Closely monitor compliance of program rules and any special conditions ordered by the court.
  2. Answer pages 24 hours a day when on call and be able to respond to the situation.
  3. Conduct assessments and prepare case plans.
  4. Plan and provide program services, case management services, training in activities of daily living, crisis intervention and consultation based on evidenced based practices.
  5. Implement and facilitate participant education programs.
  6. Investigate and develop new programs to fit the needs of participants including but not limited to; job placement, substance abuse and cognitive behavioral therapy.
  7. Assist the Executive Director in identifying and applying for additional funding opportunities.
  8. Understand and use the principles of evidenced based practices as a guide in interactions with program participants.
  9. Coordinate, supervise and maintain all records for the Community Service Program.

Additional Job Duties:

  1. Obtain and maintain certification of the Moral Reconation Therapy curriculum and any other evidenced based programs that are appropriate.
  2. Obtain risk assessment certification (IRAS/IYAS) within one year of employment, maintain certification and conduct regular participant assessments.
  3. Maintain current, accurate case files, including classifying participants according to risk based on IRAS results, recording participant’s behavior and compliance with the courts order.
  4. Document all violations and process them appropriately.
  5. Collect drug screens as needed and maintain drug screen records.
  6. Make contact with outside agencies to review participant’s progress/attendance with agency.
  7. Acting as a referral agent for employment and/or continuing education.
  8. Forward termination reports to referral source.
  9. Staff cases with probation officers, prosecutor, and Community Corrections staff as needed.
  10. Assist in preparing statistical and other reports as required.
  11. Testify in court as needed.
  12. Report any messages of significance to the appropriate people in an attempt to keep all staff up to date on current events.
  13. Attend weekly staffing.
  14. Perform related duties as assigned.
