Guests will be greeted at the main lobby entrance of IBM Toronto Labs starting at 10 a.m EST. Continental breakfast will be provided. The visit will begin in the IBM Toronto Labs Amphitheatre with an introduction and presentation. The presentation will be followed by a guided tour through the Toronto Labs facility. The tour will be followed by a pizza lunch. After lunch we will close out the visit with a presentation on tools provided by Toronto Labs including RDi, RPG Open Access and Rational Team Concert. If there are other topics you would like included please designate within the section below. The visit will complete around 2:00 p.m.
Attendees are responsible for transportation to and from the IBM facility. Please see the 8200 Visitors’ Guide for details including location, parking, entrance location, hotels in the area. The IBM Toronto Labs facility is located about 30 minutes from downtown Toronto. To pass the U.S./Canadian border will require a passport or a pass card passport. A pass card passport is less expensive and much quicker to apply for and receive. You will find information easily by web surfing or you may use the following links to find out more information.

About the Lab
The IBM Toronto Lab is the largest software development facility in Canada and the third largest research Lab within the IBM Software Group worldwide. Since the Lab's inception in 1967, we've experienced tremendous growth in numbers and purpose. From 55 people in 1967 to 2500 professionals with international mandates today, we have become one of the driving forces in development of IBM's e-business on demand software.
Our facility is an environmentally conscious building and has been recognized with awards from the Wildlife Habitat Council for the preservation of the conservation park like setting, as well as from Natural Resources Canada for its energy efficient design aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Our new Lab facility opened in Sept 2001, and contains 563,000 square feet of space, and cost approximately $125 million to build and develop.
The site has 4752 trees and 1440 shrubs. 790 trees and 720 shrubs were planted by Lab employees.
